Visitando Lecheria y Puerto la Cruz

Vacaciones, en estos tiempos de Venezuela es algo complicado, a un mes del desastre natural que vivimos, se siente mucha tension en el país y es complicado de explicar lo que siente el pueblo venezolano, mas lo que les toca vivir, en el interior del país se sufre de fallas en las comunicaciones y recortes eléctricos aleatorios por sectores, que obligan a la población a comprar plantas eléctricas y mini ups (la mejor compra que le pude hacer a mi mama)
"Going on vacation is a complicated matter in Venezuela these days. A month after the natural disaster we experienced, there is palpable tension in the country; it is difficult to put into words what the Venezuelan people are feeling—let alone what they are actually living through. In the country's interior, people are dealing with communication outages and random, rolling blackouts that force the population to buy generators and mini-UPS units (the best purchase I ever made for my mom)."
Sin embargo, se cuenta con paisajes, muchos que les mostrare ahorita, que te ayudan a despejarte de tu realidad, un calor que te obliga a hidratarte muy bien o de querer estar metido bajo el agua todo el tiempo, por ello, la playa va a ser el principal protagonista de este post.
"However, there are landscapes—many of which I’ll show you in a moment—that help you escape your everyday reality, along with heat that compels you to stay well-hydrated or makes you want to spend all your time in the water; for this reason, the beach will be the main focus of this post."
Puede ser una especie de boulevard o camino por donde recorre toda la playa, puedes caminar po la orilla, o puedes ir desde el cemento, solo que por el sol este se calienta, había suficiente brisa como para no sentir mucho calor, así se arma un buen equilibrio, pero si les recomiendo si son sensibles al sol, que se pongan bastante protector solar, si van a pasar mucho tiempo debajo de este amigo amarillo.
"There is a sort of boulevard or path that runs the length of the beach; you can walk along the shoreline or on the concrete—though the concrete does heat up in the sun. There was enough of a breeze to keep the heat from feeling oppressive, creating a nice balance, but if you are sensitive to the sun, I definitely recommend applying plenty of sunscreen if you plan to spend a lot of time out under that "yellow friend.""
Un gran espacio de arena, puedes traer tu silla, tu sombrilla, hasta un balón de voleibol o de fútbol para compartir, si te gusta le deporte, el viento la levanta y a veces molesta en la vista, por lo menos en ese momento que estuve fue así.
"It’s a large sandy area where you can bring your own chair, umbrella, or even a volleyball or soccer ball to play with if you enjoy sports; the wind kicks up the sand, which can sometimes be bothersome to the eyes—at least, that was my experience while I was there."
Uno de los grandes protagonistas, a parte de la arena y el mar fue el cielo, que se veía especialmente coqueto, muchas nubes blancas, tapando el sol, permitiendo un espacio de luz que daba una bonita sensación.
"Aside from the sand and the sea, one of the main stars was the sky; it looked especially charming, with plenty of white clouds veiling the sun yet allowing a shaft of light to filter through, creating a lovely atmosphere."
Para las personas religiosas, estaba también la virgen del valle, patrona del pueblo del oriente, un espacio seguro y vigilado por las autoridades, donde las personas pueden rezar, dejar sus flores o sencillamente apreciar, a pesar de estar cerca del mar, se ve bastante cuidado, el salitre suele destruir con facilidad cualquier edificación o construcción cercana.
"For religious believers, there was also the Virgin of the Valley—patron saint of the eastern region—in a safe space monitored by the authorities where people could pray, leave flowers, or simply admire the surroundings. Despite its proximity to the sea—where salt air typically destroys nearby structures with ease—the site appeared remarkably well-maintained."
Por ejemplo, este camino, al estar tan cerca de la arena y seguramente algunas personas que salen goteando de la playa, se ha visto bastante afectado y es difícil caminar descalzo por el (si, yo soy esa persona que camina descalzo por donde no debe) ojo con unas cholas o un zapato, puedes caminar sin problema y descalzo tampoco es incaminable, sino me hubiera puesto los míos.
"For instance, this path has been significantly affected—likely due to its proximity to the sand and the people coming off the beach dripping wet—making it tricky to walk barefoot (yes, I’m the type who walks barefoot where I probably shouldn't). That said, if you wear flip-flops or shoes, you’ll be fine; walking barefoot isn't impossible either—otherwise, I would have put mine on."
En la parte de la orilla de la playa, hay algunas rocas, no lo veo mal, la gente puede ir y sentarse ahi, creo que hasta puede servir para entre ellas colocar los sombrillas y alguna otra cosa que lleven.
"There are some rocks along the shoreline; I don't see that as a bad thing—people can go and sit there, and I think the spaces between them could even be used to set up umbrellas or place other things they’ve brought along."
Tambien hay una serie de deportes que puedes practicar en la playa, tienen para alquilar bicicletas, creo que tablas de surf y lo que ven al final de la foto que no se como se llama, pero con la brisa que estaba haciendo ese día, seguramente se puede practicar bastante, hasta pensé en construir una central heolica para ayudar con el tema del servicio eléctrico (obviamente solo en mis sueño, capaz ni es viable)
"There are also various sports you can do at the beach; they have bicycles for rent—and I think surfboards, too—as well as that thing you see at the end of the photo (I don't know what it's called). Given the breeze that day, you could certainly get a lot of use out of it; I even thought about building a wind turbine to help with the electricity supply—though obviously only in my dreams; it might not even be feasible."
Ese es uno de los sitios donde se alquila, quedo genial la foto, con la luz del sol atravesando las nubes.
"That’s one of the places where you can rent; the photo turned out great, with the sunlight breaking through the clouds."
Ya para finalizar con el tema de la playa, esta postal debajo del arbol donde dormí, una sombra exquisita, frente a la playa, al lado del muro que no estaba nada mal para acostarme..... Pero ahora seguimos con un poco mas del oriente!
"To wrap up the beach topic: here’s a snapshot from under the tree where I slept—offering delightful shade, right by the beach and next to a wall that actually made for a pretty decent spot to lie down... But now, let’s move on to a bit more from the East!"
Ya aquí estamos en plaza mayor, en este momento no había luz, pocas tiendas tenían planta eléctricas, en algunos casos, solo funcionaban las cajas, en otros si funcionaba la tienda completa, imagino que por un tiempo limitado....
"So here we are at the Plaza Mayor; at that moment, there was no power. Few shops had backup generators—in some cases, only the checkout registers were working, while in others the entire store was operational, though I imagine only for a limited time..."
A pesar de la falta de energía eléctrica y la hora, había algunas personas recorriendo el centro comercial, tiene un excelente ambiente, porque es super abierto y de hacia unos canales que dan a residencias cercanas, también, en algún punto, no se si aun existe la gente sale en lancha desde el mismo centro comercial y vuelve en lancha.
"Despite the power outage and the late hour, there were still people strolling through the shopping center; it has a wonderful atmosphere because it is very open and faces canals that lead to nearby residences. Also—though I’m not sure if this still happens—people used to take boats out directly from the mall and return by boat."
Pueden caminar por todo este sitio, según no es tan profundo como uno piensa, pero a veces hay muchos botes allí, esta vez no había ninguno detenido pero si habían cruzando por los canales.
"You can walk all around this area; it’s not as deep as you might think, though there are often many boats there. This time, none were docked, but there were some passing through the canals."
Las residencias cercanas, algunas casas con barquitos, todo un lujo, claro el agua que los rodea, no se las recomiendo para bañarse jeje
"The nearby residences—some of the houses even have little boats; it's pure luxury—are surrounded by clear water, though I wouldn't recommend swimming in it, haha."
Un yate circulando, sin problema, bastante grande por cierto.
"A yacht cruising along without any issues—a pretty large one, by the way."
Un parque de diversiones, suele funcionar mas en la tarde, después de las 4-5 de la tarde, cuando baja un poco el sol, esos asientos calientes, créanme que no son nada recomendables, tiene muchas luces, es bastante bonito.
"An amusement park usually operates best in the late afternoon—after 4 or 5 p.m.—once the sun has gone down a bit; believe me, those hot seats are not recommended at all. It has lots of lights and is quite pretty."
Una leve fuga de agua, la plaza donde vi a muchos niños recorrer en bici o patineta, donde los jóvenes y los adultos se sientan a hablar y ver el paisaje, tomarse algo o tienen conversaciones difíciles, era un buen sitio para conocer personas...
"A slight water leak; the square where I saw many children riding bikes or skateboards, where young people and adults sit to talk, take in the view, and have a drink—or hold difficult conversations—was a good place to meet people..."
Ya esta para cerrar, una gran parte del centro comercial, la fachada de colores único en cada edificio, la publicidad de opticolor y el estilo como antiguo, hacen de este centro comercial algo iconico....
