El arroyo, el protagonista de esta propiedad
Hay mañanas que no se parecen a ninguna otra. Esta empezó con mate en el termo, el auto cargado y una invitación que no podíamos rechazar: recorrer un campo con un cliente que llegó desde Estados Unidos buscando el lugar perfecto para empezar una nueva etapa con su esposa y su hijo.
Quería algo grande. Espacio para respirar, para tener su propia plantación de verduras, para criar animales y que su hijo creciera al aire libre. Y una condición que no negociaba: tenía que tener arroyo.
El equipo salió completo: mi esposa Elizabeth, una compañera más de la oficina y yo. Nos juntamos a las nueve de la mañana en Cedrales, Alto Paraná, y lo que encontramos ahí superó lo que cualquiera de nosotros esperaba.
Cinco hectáreas donde el verde se pierde de vista
La propiedad tiene cinco hectáreas. De esas que te dan la sensación de estar lejos de todo aunque no lo estás tanto. El arroyo cruza el terreno de tal manera que se convierte, sin dudas, en el corazón del lugar. Vimos enseguida la cara del cliente: la que tiene una persona cuando sabe que encontró eso que estuvo buscando durante meses.

Recorrimos el campo sin apuro. Entre los árboles había frutales, un aljibe de agua que es un tesoro en el campo, y hasta plantas de caña de azúcar que crecían ahí, una al lado de la otra. Una mariposa se posó cerca nuestro mientras caminábamos y frenamos todos para mirarla, como si fuera un pequeño recordatorio de lo que significa un lugar así: vida, quietud y tiempo para disfrutar.

No fue una visita técnica. Fue una mañana entera, de nueve a doce, compartida con gente linda, caminando un lugar hermoso y charlando de todo: del proyecto de la casa, de los animales que van a criar, de la huerta que la esposa ya imagina armando. Ahí te das cuenta de que este trabajo es mucho más que vender una propiedad. Se trata de encontrarle la casa a una familia que está por empezar una historia nueva.
Alcé la mano y retraté el momento, sin pensarlo
Son estas visitas y estos recorridos los que hacen que cada venta se sienta como una experiencia que va mucho más allá de lo transaccional. Cuando te vas con la sensación de que participaste en algo importante, entendés por qué elegiste este oficio.

Some mornings look like no other. This one started with a full thermos of mate, the car loaded, and an invitation we couldn't refuse: touring a farm with a client who arrived from the United States looking for the perfect place to start a new chapter with his wife and his son.
He wanted something big. Room to breathe, to grow his own vegetables, to raise animals and let his son grow up outdoors. And one non-negotiable condition: it had to have a stream.
The whole team went: my wife Elizabeth, a colleague from the office, and me. We met at nine in the morning in Cedrales, Alto Paraná, and what we found there exceeded anything we expected.
Five hectares of green as far as the eye can see
The property is five hectares. The kind that makes you feel far away from everything, even though you're not. The stream runs through the land so naturally that it becomes, without a doubt, the heart of the place. We immediately saw it on the client's face: the look someone has when they know they've found what they were searching for for months.

We walked the land slowly, taking our time. Among the trees there were fruit trees, a water well that's a treasure in the countryside, and even sugarcane plants growing one next to the other. A butterfly landed near us while we walked and we all stopped to watch it, as if it were a small reminder of what a place like this means: life, stillness, and time to enjoy.

It wasn't a technical visit. It was a whole morning, from nine to twelve, shared with lovely people, walking a beautiful place and chatting about everything: the house project, the animals they'll raise, the vegetable garden his wife is already picturing. That's when you realize this job is much more than selling a property. It's about finding a home for a family that's about to start a new story.

It's these visits and these walks that make every sale feel like an experience that goes far beyond the transactional. When you leave with the feeling that you took part in something important, you understand why you chose this profession.
