MOMENTS - (PHOTOGRAPHY SERIES)

Photographs, especially street photographs, are "moments," I think we are all clear on that, or in agreement. But there's more than one kind of moment, or at least that's how it seems to me, inside this strange head of mine that tends to abstract everything... I see moments that, indeed, occur in a very brief interval of time and then disappear... But there are also other moments that are there, happening statically, as if trying to pretend they're something that lasts for a long time, but no, they're moments too, and when I pass by and look at them, observe them and understand them, then I photograph them and they undress and reveal themselves for what they are: "moments," simple and pure, just as brief as everything else in the stark present that plays at being constantly passing by... But this, as I said before, is something that perhaps only exists in my head, which has become a contraption with a very strange workings, where everything happens differently than it does elsewhere, or in other minds...
>Las fotografías, en especial las callejeras, son "momentos", en eso creo que todos estamos claros, o puestos de acuerdo. Pero hay más de un tipo de momentos, o cuando menos así me parece a mi dentro de cabeza extraña que tiende a poner abstracciones a todo... Y es que yo veo momentos los cuales, efectivamente, ocurren en un brevísimo intervalo de tiempo y desaparecen... Pero también hay otros momentos que están allí ocurriendo como estáticos, como queriendo fingir que son una cosa que ocurre durante mucho tiempo, pero no, en realidad son momentos también, y cuando yo paso y los miro, los observo y los entiendo, entonces les disparo con mi cámara y se desnudan y revelan como lo que son: "momentos", simples y puros, igual que breves que todo en el escueto presente que juega a estar pasando y pasando... Pero esto, tal como les dije antes, es algo que quizás solo sea así en mi cabeza, la cual se ha vuelto un artilugio de funcionamiento muy extraño, en donde todo ocurres de manera distinta a como ocurre en otras partes, o en otras cabezas...

ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7
> NOTA TÉCNICA ADICIONAL: Fotografias capturadas con mi cámara DSLR Nikon D7000 en formato RAW, procesadas posteriormente en Adobe Camera RAW para ajustes relativos a luz, afilado, contraste y profundidad... Luego fueron exportadas a formato JGP sobre el cual se llevaron a cabo modificaciones menores como enderezado y agregado de marcas de agua usando PhotoScape v3.7
