WHY ARE YOU ON THE CHRISTIAN RACE

Hi pals, I salute you all inside this beautiful and peaceful day, trusting we're doing just fine in our different engagement.
There's actually something I would like us to look into for a consideration. I mean Often times, we have become so accustomed to measuring our encounters with God by what happened afterwards that we sometimes forget to ask what the encounter itself was supposed to produce.
If Adam and Eve had never fallen, what do you think our relationship with God would have looked like? What would we call our faith then? What would intimacy with God look like if there was nothing we needed to be saved from, delivered from, or fixed?
David said, “My soul thirsteth for thee.” He spoke of meditating on God in the night watches. There was a longing for God Himself. That is something we have to recover.
God is beyond the things He can do for us, but those things cannot be the foundation of our desire for Him. Because what happens when they don't come? Would you still want God?
Jesus said, “I and my Father are one.” Scripture says we are partakers of the divine nature, and “as He is, so are we in this world.”
The evidence that you met with God is not always something spectacular that happened around you, but simply that you have become more like the One you came to meet. The transformation of your lifestyle, the way you love, the way you think, who you are. That you can walk into a room and people encounter something of Him through you.
I ask again, what would your Christianity be about?
