Once again I am glad to find a work by the painter Maisel López adorning the walls of the city. This time in the municipality Playa, of the Cuban capital, the place where the artist lives and where several of his creations can be discovered.
The work of Maisel López is easily recognized because for some time it has been characterized by painting faces of children, quite realistic and full of vitality, transforming the urban landscape into a more tender and closer space. His murals have become part of the visual identity of Havana.
In this mural appears the face of a girl of Asian descent, made up and combed in the old and traditional style of China. The work represents the beauty, delicacy and spirituality of that millenary culture, showing how diversity can also be reflected on the walls of our city.
The artist always manages that each painted face is a bridge between innocence and joy, they are a reminder that the city can also be a place to show urban art without limits, where the walls of the city become windows towards something different that moves, leaving in each passerby a sensation of emotion and belonging.

Una vez más me alegra encontrar una obra del pintor Maisel López adornando los muros de la ciudad. Esta vez en el municipio Playa, de la capital cubana, el sitio donde vive el artista y donde se pueden descubrir varias de sus creaciones.
El trabajo de Maisel López se reconoce fácilmente porque desde hace tiempo se caracteriza por pintar rostros de niños, bastante realistas y llenos de vitalidad, transformando el paisaje urbano en un espacio más tierno y cercano. Sus murales se han convertido en parte de la identidad visual de La Habana.
En este mural aparece el rostro de una niña de ascendencia asiática, maquillada y peinada al estilo antiguo y tradicional de China. La obra representa la belleza, la delicadeza y la espiritualidad de esa cultura milenaria, mostrando cómo la diversidad también puede reflejarse en las paredes de nuestra ciudad.
El artista siempre logra que cada rostro pintado sea un puente entre la inocencia y la alegria, son un recordatorio de que la ciudad también puede ser un lugar para mostrar el arte urbano sin limites, donde los muros de la ciudad se convierten en ventanas hacia algo diferente que conmueve, dejando en cada transeúnte una sensacion de emocion y pertenencia.
