Chilling out with food and drinks before a long journey to the hospital tomorrow.

Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. Tomorrow, my wife and I have to take our autistic son to a hospital for children with special needs in Chiang Mai city. This hospital is the largest and most comprehensive special needs children's hospital in Northern Thailand. We have to travel a round-trip distance of about 300 kilometers. Since we have free time all week, so we want to relax today by grabbing some brunch and lunch, before picking up my autistic son from school at 1 PM. No plans for food today, that’s for sure, We just started thinking about what to eat and drove around looking for a place right after dropping our granddaughter and autistic son off at school. There are many restaurants and cafes along the main road, but they weren't our target. Late in the morning, we wanted to find something simple and delicious to eat. Eventually, we stopped by a small cafe shop in Lotus's for drinks, a few small pieces of cake, and sandwiches. They were our elevenses / pre-lunch snacks.
Driving along in the morning with a gloomy sky that threatens rain but doesn't deliver. There's no sunlight, yet the weather is quite hot and humid.
Enjoying a late-morning snack at a cozy little cafe inside Lotus’s with iced green tea, iced cocoa, a mini cake, and a sandwich.
Close to noon, we drove around hunting for a lunch spot. We passed tons of places, but finally picked a small restaurant tucked away in a quiet alley. It was simple and unassuming, not really focusing on the vibe.
The commuting atmosphere toward noon contrasts sharply with the early and late morning. The sky is clear and sunny, but the weather has become incredibly hot and sticky.
The atmosphere at the casual restaurant we picked for lunch was quite empty back then.
Our lunch consists of Khao Soi with pork meatball and Yentafo with thin rice noodles. We are having them with an ice-cold Coke to beat the heat.
Wrapping up today's post with the atmosphere of picking up my autistic son from school and go home. Beautiful clear skies and lovely clouds, even if it's getting a bit too hot out here.
