Hola a todos en esta hermosa comunidad de @ladiesofhive. Esta semana el concurso es convocado por @elizabethbit, y sus preguntas me hicieron pensar bastante, porque aunque a primera vista parecen sencillas, cuando intenté responderlas descubrí que no tenía una respuesta tan clara para ninguna de las dos.
1️⃣ Si tuvieras tiempo y pudieras hacer un curso educativo sobre cualquier cosa, ¿qué estudiarías y cómo utilizarías los conocimientos adquiridos?
Creo que siempre he sido una persona bastante activa y curiosa. A pesar de mi corta vida, he aprendido a hacer muchas cosas diferentes, algunas porque alguien me las enseñó y otras simplemente porque vi un video en Internet y pensé: “¿Y si lo intento?”
Pinto, hago manualidades, tejo, sé coser, me gusta escribir, leer y, por supuesto, la música también ocupa un espacio importante entre mis intereses. Además, tengo una debilidad bastante particular por esos videos de Instagram donde enseñan a hacer cosas con las manos. Puedo pasar de ver cómo alguien fabrica una vela a terminar viendo un tutorial de joyería, decoración o cualquier otra cosa que despierte mi curiosidad.
Por eso, si tuviera todo el tiempo del mundo para estudiar algo nuevo, probablemente elegiría algo que durante años ha llamado mi atención: aprender a tocar el piano.

Cuando era pequeña me llamaba muchísimo la atención el piano que había en la Casa de la Cultura. Recuerdo que me acercaba y tocaba sus teclas creyendo que sabía lo que estaba haciendo. A los 17 años incluso aprendí la escala musical —creo que así se llama—, pero la verdad es que nunca llegué a intentar aprender realmente a tocar.
Y quizás lo escogería precisamente porque es algo diferente a muchas de las cosas que ya sé hacer. No sería solamente aprender una nueva habilidad, sino regalarme un espacio para disfrutar y desconectar.
El piano siempre me ha transmitido mucha paz. Me encanta escuchar canciones instrumentales y siento que tienen una capacidad especial para relajarme. Así que me gustaría algún día poder sentarme frente a un piano y tocar una canción que me guste, no para convertirme en una gran pianista, sino simplemente para tener esa pequeña posibilidad de crear con mis propias manos algo que también me ayude a encontrar calma.
Creo que, al final, aprender también puede ser una forma de cuidarnos.
2️⃣ ¿Cuál es tu color favorito? Describe cómo te hace sentir cuando lo ves o estás rodeada de él.
Esta pregunta resultó ser mucho más complicada para mí porque, sinceramente, no creo tener un único color favorito.
Creo que mis colores favoritos dependen bastante del lugar donde los encuentre.
Por ejemplo, cuando se trata de ropa, me he dado cuenta de que, entre muchas opciones, casi siempre termino escogiendo algo gris. Nunca había pensado demasiado en ello, pero supongo que tiene que ver con la sensación de confort que me transmite. Es un color que siento tranquilo y fácil de llevar.
En decoración ocurre todo lo contrario. Adoro las casas blancas, la vajilla blanca y los muebles blancos. El blanco me transmite una sensación de limpieza y orden que me encanta. Puedo imaginar perfectamente una casa llena de luz, con paredes y muebles blancos, y sentir inmediatamente esa sensación de tranquilidad.
Pero si hablamos de accesorios, parece que tengo una regla no escrita: para mí casi siempre tienen que ser metálicos y dorados. No sé exactamente por qué. Simplemente es un color que siempre termina llamándome la atención.
Y luego está mi agenda, que probablemente es donde más evidente se vuelve mi contradicción.Para escribir y organizarme utilizo post-it rosas, plumones rosas y lapiceros morados. Cuando entro a una tienda de artículos de papelería buscando algo para escribir o para hacer arte, parece que mis manos tienen vida propia: entre todos los colores disponibles, terminan yendo directamente hacia los tonos rosas y morados.
Y quizás por eso, cuando llegó el momento de escoger un color para mi emprendimiento, el lila simplemente se sintió correcto.No tuve que pensarlo demasiado. Sentí que el lila era una especie de punto medio entre muchas de las cosas que me gustan: tiene algo delicado, creativo y tranquilo, pero al mismo tiempo destaca.
Así que quizás la respuesta a esta pregunta no sea que tengo un solo color favorito. Tal vez mis colores favoritos son una pequeña colección de sensaciones diferentes: el gris para el confort, el blanco para la limpieza y la calma, el dorado para los detalles, y los rosas, morados y lilas para esa parte creativa de mí que siempre termina apareciendo. Y creo que eso también dice algo de nosotros: a veces no necesitamos escoger una sola cosa para definir lo que nos gusta. Podemos encontrar diferentes partes de nosotros mismos en muchas cosas distintas.

1️⃣ If you had the time and could take an educational course on anything, what would you study and how would you use the knowledge gained?
I think I have always been a fairly active and curious person. Despite my young age, I have learned to do many different things, some because someone taught me and others simply because I saw a video on the Internet and thought: “What if I try it?”
I paint, I do crafts, I knit, I know how to sew, I like writing, reading and, of course, music also occupies an important place among my interests. Besides that, I have quite a particular weakness for those Instagram videos where they teach you how to make things with your hands. I can go from watching someone make a candle to ending up watching a jewelry, decoration, or any other tutorial that sparks my curiosity.
That is why, if I had all the time in the world to study something new, I would probably choose something that has caught my attention for years: learning to play the piano.

2️⃣ What is your favorite color? Describe how it makes you feel when you view it or are around it.
This question turned out to be much more complicated for me because, honestly, I don't think I have a single favorite color.
I think my favorite colors depend quite a lot on where I find them.
For example, when it comes to clothing, I have realized that, among many options, I almost always end up choosing something gray. I had never thought about it too much, but I suppose it has to do with the feeling of comfort it gives me. It is a color that feels calm and easy to wear.
With decoration, it is quite the opposite. I love white houses, white tableware, and white furniture. White gives me a feeling of cleanliness and order that I love. I can perfectly imagine a house full of light, with white walls and furniture, and immediately feel that sense of tranquility.
But if we are talking about accessories, it seems that I have an unwritten rule: for me, they almost always have to be metallic and gold. I don't know exactly why. It is simply a color that always ends up catching my attention.
And then there is my planner, which is probably where my contradiction becomes most obvious.For writing and organizing myself, I use pink sticky notes, pink markers, and purple pens. When I go into a stationery store looking for something to write with or to make art, it seems that my hands have a life of their own: among all the colors available, they end up going directly toward pink and purple shades.
And perhaps that is why, when the time came to choose a color for my small business, lilac simply felt right. I did not have to think about it too much. I felt that lilac was a kind of middle ground between many of the things I like: it has something delicate, creative, and peaceful, but at the same time it stands out.
So perhaps the answer to this question is not that I have one single favorite color. Maybe my favorite colors are a small collection of different sensations: gray for comfort, white for cleanliness and calm, gold for details, and pinks, purples, and lilacs for that creative part of me that always ends up appearing. And I think that also says something about us: sometimes we don't need to choose just one thing to define what we like. We can find different parts of ourselves in many different things.
