A day out at Francis Park amusement park

Spending time with the family is great, and cherishing those moments is even better. I’d like to tell you that I received an invitation from my sister to visit an amusement park called Francis Park; these sorts of parks usually pop up in towns during the holidays; this one hasn’t been in my town for very long; and as my children and my nieces and nephews love it, my sister didn’t hesitate to invite us.

Les cuento recibí la invitación de mi hermana para visitar un parque de diversiones que se llama Francis park, este tipo de parques generalmente llegan a los pueblos en vacaciones; este no tiene mucho tiempo que llegó a mi localidad; y como mis hijos y mis sobrinos les encanta; mi hermana no dudo en invitar.
This park has a range of attractions for both young and old. In this case, my nephew is three years old and enjoyed the rides he could get on that weren’t dangerous. Specifically, these were the traffic circuit and the merry-go-round, and his mum decided to get on a boat with him, although that one did have a more vigorous motion. The truth is that at that moment they were the only ones on that ride, and when it started up and began to move more vigorously, my sister panicked and ordered them to stop it.
> Este parque tiene varias atracciones que van para los más pequeños, así como para los más grandes. En este caso mi sobrino tiene tres años y disfruto de lo que se podía montar y no fuese peligroso. En este caso fueron el tránsito, el carrusel y su mamá decidió montar en un barco junto a el, pero este si tenía movimiento más fuerte. Lo cierto que en ese momento eran los únicos en esa atracción y cuando lo encendieron y comenzó más fuerte mi hermana entro en pánico y mando a parar.
My children kept insisting they wanted to go on the ballerina ride; to be honest, I wasn’t keen on the idea, because that one really did spin round very quickly; what’s more, we had my niece with us, who has a disability, and she specifically wanted to go on that one. I asked the staff and they told me they didn’t recommend my niece go on it. The truth is that my children did manage to get on it and, despite the fright, their reaction was: ‘Would I go on it again?’ I think children aren’t as scared as adults.
> Mis hijos insistían que querían montarse en la atracción de la bailarina, la verdad a mi no me comvencia la cuestión, porque este si que giraba muy duro; aparte que llevamos a mi sobrina que tiene una condición y quería era ahí. Pregunté a los encargados y me dijeron que no me recomendaban que mi sobrina se montará allí. Lo cierto fue que mis hijos si lograron montarse y a pesar del buen susto; su reacción fue si me volvería a montar. Creo los niños no tienen tanto miedo como uno de adulto.
We carried on strolling and enjoying the park, and in the end we decided on the flying chair for my niece, who wasn’t able to go on the dancing girl ride; my daughter went with her on this one.
> Seguimos paseando y disfrutando del parque, por fin decidimos por la silla voladora para mí sobrina que no se pudo montar en bailarina; aquí mi hija la acompaño.
Tickets are cheap, costing $1, and if you pay in cash in dollars, you get 15 tickets for $10. It’s good value for a family day out. Personally, I had a great time even though I didn’t go on any of the rides – I’m actually far too nervous for that sort of thing. It was a different sort of day, full of laughter.
> Las entradas son económicas y tienen un costo de 1$ y si pagas en dólar efectivo te dan 15 boletos por 10$. Está económico para pasar un rato en familia. En lo particular me divertí a pesar de no montar en ninguna de las atracciones, realmente soy muy nerviosa para eso. Fue un día diferente y lleno de muchas risas.
