My Actifit Report Card: July 18 2026

Wczorajszy dzień był absolutnie bezproduktywny. Dopadło mnie jakieś zmęczenie, z którym postanowiłem nie walczyć i oddałem odpoczynkowi. Planowo mieliśmy się wybrać na kamping w Pieniny, ale po przeanalizowaniu radarów pogodowych uznałem, że to nie ma sensu, co było dobrą decyzją. Już wczoraj w nocy przetoczyła się przez okolice dość silna burza, a dzisiaj miały być kolejne i w rzeczy samej tak też było. Około dwie godziny przed tą wczorajszą burzą wprost w naszą stronę napierała piękna chmura szelfowa.
> Yesterday was absolutely unproductive. I got some kind of fatigue, which I decided not to fight and gave it to rest. We were supposed to go camping in the Pieniny, but after analyzing the weather radars, I decided that it didn't make sense, which was a good decision. Last night there was a pretty strong storm through the area, and today there were supposed to be another one and indeed it was. About two hours before yesterday's storm, a beautiful shelf cloud was pressing directly in our direction.
Rano po śniadaniu pojechaliśmy do mojego domu rodzinnego. Brat potrzebował namiot, który pożyczyłem na noc, którą spędziliśmy na Hali Rysianka, o czym pisałem kilka raportów wcześniej. Przy okazji posiedzieliśmy chwilę przy kawie i zawieźliśmy kilka worków drewna z ostatniej wycinki gałęzi, które moim rodzicą posłuży w zimie jako opał do kominka. Kiedy już wracaliśmy, wjechaliśmy w środek potężnej ulewy i jazda była dość ciężka.
> In the morning after breakfast we went to my family home. My brother needed a tent, which I borrowed for the night we spent at Hala Rysianka, about which I wrote several reports earlier. By the way, we sat for a while over coffee and brought a few bags of wood from the last cut of branches, which my parent will serve as firewood in the winter. When we were returning, we drove into the middle of a heavy downpour and the ride was quite heavy.
Wróciliśmy do domu, przygotowaliśmy obiad i chwilę po nim odpoczęliśmy po czym mieliśmy się zabrać za ogarnięcie kwiatów w donicach, które zdecydowanie za bardzo jak na nasz gust się rozrosły. Kiedy zabierałem je z balkonu w oddali dostrzegłem kolejną nawałnicę i cholernie interesująco wyglądające chmury, które w pewnym momencie niemal sięgały do ziemi i miałem wrażenie, że może z tego wyniknąć jakaś trąba powietrzna. Jak się jednak później dowiedziałem od znajomej będącej specjalistką od meteo, był to tak zwany scud cloud czyli poszarpane fragmenty chmur, które często wygl��dają niemal identycznie, jak tornado. Są jednak nie groźne. W tym przypadku scud był dodatkowo osadzony na szelfie.
> We returned home, prepared dinner and rested for a while after that, after which we were to start scooping up the flowers in the pots, which had grown far too much for our taste. When I was taking them from the balcony in the distance, I saw another storm and damn interesting-looking clouds that at one point almost reached the ground and I had the impression that some kind of whirlwind could come out of it. However, as I later learned from a meteo specialist friend, it was the so-called scud cloud - torn fragments of clouds that often look almost identical to a tornado. However, they are not dangerous. In this case, the scud was additionally set on the shelf.
Dzisiaj zaczynam serię trzech nocnych zmian w pracy, czyli kiedy przeciętny człowiek cieszy się weekendem w pełni, ja rozpoczynam nierówną walkę z maszynami produkcyjnymi.
> Today I start a series of three night shifts at work, i.e. when the average person enjoys the weekend to the fullest, I start an uneven struggle with production machines.
