Good afternoon, my dearest #Hive readers! Happy Tuesday to everyone—I hope you’re having a fantastic start to your week. It’s your friend Manuel here, and I’m really excited to bring you a new digital illustration I completed over this past weekend to share on my blog. This time, I decided to dive back into the vibrant world of my dear friends in the #Holozing community to draw the Ocean Healer (Sanadora del Océano). But she wouldn't be alone in this piece; I decided to accompany her with one of the game's arachnid-type creatures: Arachlet! Although small in size, Arachlet features large, sturdy legs that double as a natural shield to protect its body, making it a remarkably resilient creature against attacks from enemies of similar proportions. >Muy buenas tardes mis queridÃsimos lectores y lectoras de #Hive, feliz martes para todos, espero que estén teniendo un excelente inicio de semana. Por aquà los saluda su amigo Manuel, muy emocionado de traerles una nueva ilustración digital que terminé durante este fin de semana que pasó para compartir en mi blog. En esta oportunidad, decidà sumergirme de nuevo en el vibrante mundo de mis queridos amigos de la comunidad de #Holozing para dibujar a la Sanadora del Océano. Sin embargo, no estarÃa sola; se me ocurrió acompañarla de una de las criaturas de tipo arácnido del juego: ¡Arachlet! Aunque es una criatura pequeña, sus patas ya bastante grandes le sirven como un escudo natural para proteger su cuerpo, convirtiéndolo en un ser muy resistente a los ataques de enemigos de proporciones similares a la suya.
PROCESS / PROCESO
For the concept and character design, I wanted to capture the Ocean Healer looking over her shoulder with a calm, charming expression, carrying the small purple Arachlet resting safely on her shoulder. I focused on her vibrant short blue hair, her glowing blue eyes, and her white outfit adorned with the glowing water-element emblem on her sleeve. For Arachlet, I carefully rendered its deep purple armor, its bright red eyes, and its defensive leg structure. >Para el concepto y diseño del personaje, quise capturar a la Sanadora del Océano mirando sobre su hombro con una mirada serena y encantadora, llevando al pequeño Arachlet de color violeta acomodado con seguridad sobre su hombro. Me enfoqué en su vibrante cabello corto de color azul, sus brillantes ojos azules y su traje blanco adornado con el emblema acuático luminoso en su manga. Para Arachlet, dibujé cuidadosamente su coraza de tono morado profundo, sus ojos rojos brillantes y la estructura defensiva de sus patas.
For the details and rendering, I worked on smoothing the skin shading and facial tones using airbrush blends to achieve a soft, radiant look. I rendered the fabric highlights on her shoulder, refined the crisp strands of her short hairstyle, and polished the metallic/glowing emblem on her sleeve, making sure Arachlet's distinct dark silhouette stood out clearly against her outfit. >Para los detalles y el renderizado, trabajé en suavizar las sombras de la piel y los tonos faciales mediante difuminados con aerógrafo para lograr un acabado suave y radiante. Rendericé los reflejos de la tela sobre su hombro, refiné las hebras de su corte de cabello corto y pulà el emblema brillante en su manga, asegurándome de que la silueta oscura y bien definida de Arachlet destacara con claridad sobre su traje.
For the magical elements, lighting, and environment, I set the scene at night on a coastal beach right by the sea. A large, bright full moon illuminates the deep blue sky, reflecting cool silvery light across the ocean waves and the sandy shore. This ambient moonlight creates soft, dreamy highlights along the Ocean Healer's blue hair, her skin, and Arachlet's shell. >Para los elementos mágicos, la iluminación y la ambientación, ubiqué la escena de noche en la costa de una playa junto al mar. Una gran luna llena e intensa ilumina el cielo azul profundo, reflejando una frÃa luz plateada sobre las olas del océano y la orilla de arena. Este resplandor nocturno genera reflejos suaves y mágicos a lo largo del cabello azul de la Sanadora, su piel y el caparazón de Arachlet.
