Good afternoon, my dearest #Hive readers! Happy Saturday to everyone—I hope you’re having a fantastic weekend. It’s your friend Manuel here, and I’m really excited to bring you a new digital illustration I completed just yesterday to share on my blog. This time, I decided to take inspiration once again from the wonderful universe of my dear friends in the #Holozing community to draw the Forest Healer (Sanadora del Bosque). I wanted to portray her very closely tied to my personal illustration style, giving her a more personalized touch compared to what I usually do, while still carefully maintaining the core essence of the original character design. >Muy buenas tardes mis queridĂsimos lectores y lectoras de #Hive, feliz sábado para todos, espero que estĂ©n teniendo un excelente fin de semana. Por aquĂ los saluda su amigo Manuel, muy emocionado de traerles una nueva ilustraciĂłn digital que terminĂ© apenas el dĂa de ayer para compartir en mi blog. En esta oportunidad, decidĂ inspirarme una vez más en el maravilloso universo de mis queridos amigos de la comunidad de #Holozing para dibujar a la Sanadora del Bosque. Quise dibujarla muy apegada a mi propio estilo de ilustraciĂłn, dándole un toque más personalizado a lo que acostumbro, pero manteniendo siempre la esencia del personaje original.
PROCESS / PROCESO
For the pose and character design, I wanted to give her a serene, confident, and warm presence. I portrayed the Forest Healer standing gracefully in a three-quarter pose, turning her gaze toward the viewer with a gentle, inviting expression. I kept her signature bright emerald green hair and eyes, styling her hair with soft volume and framing her face. She wears her classic light-colored, fitted tunic dress, and I added the leafy vine wrapped around her arm to highlight her connection to nature. >Para la postura y el diseño del personaje, quise darle una presencia serena, segura y cálida. RetratĂ© a la Sanadora del Bosque de pie con una pose elegante en tres cuartos, girando su mirada hacia el espectador con una expresiĂłn suave y acogedora. Mantuve su caracterĂstico cabello y ojos de un verde esmeralda brillante, peinando su cabello con un volumen suave que enmarca su rostro. Viste su clásico vestido ajustado en tonos claros, y añadĂ la enredadera con hojas enrollada en su brazo para resaltar su conexiĂłn directa con la naturaleza.
For the composition and background lighting, I set the scene deep within a lush forest during a bright sunset. Large tree trunks and foliage frame the composition, while a warm golden light filters through the canopy behind her. This strong backdrop allowed me to work on intense rim lighting along her silhouette and hair, creating a nice contrast between the warm golden-yellow sunlight and the deeper, cooler shadows on her skin and dress. >Para la composición y la iluminación del fondo, ubiqué la escena en lo profundo de un bosque frondoso durante un atardecer brillante. Grandes troncos de árboles y follaje enmarcan la composición, mientras que una cálida luz dorada se filtra a través de la copa de los árboles detrás de ella. Este fondo tan marcado me permitió trabajar un intenso brillo de contorno a lo largo de su silueta y cabello, creando un contraste muy bonito entre la luz solar dorada y las sombras más profundas y cálidas en su piel y vestido.
For the final details, I focused on rendering the smooth skin tones with rich, warm shading, adding highlights to her green hair, and polishing the folds and texture of her dress. I also added detailed leaf textures to the surrounding trees to build depth in the atmosphere. Adapting the Forest Healer to my own personal style while honoring her original design was a truly rewarding and fun creative experience! >Para los detalles finales, me enfocado en el renderizado de los tonos de piel con un sombreado cálido y profundo, agregando brillos a su cabello verde y puliendo los pliegues y la textura de su vestido. También añadà textura detallada a las hojas de los árboles circundantes para construir profundidad en la atmósfera. Adaptar a la Sanadora del Bosque a mi estilo personal mientras honraba su diseño original fue una experiencia creativa realmente gratificante y divertida.
