Today I’ll show you how to make a beautiful crocheted 5-petal flower keychain. The best part is that it’s very easy to make—we’ll use basic crochet stitches and very few materials.
We can make this cute keychain in different colors and with different types of yarn, and best of all, we can earn some extra money by turning this into a side hustle, which helps cover household expenses.
This time, I made a sample to inspire a friend to get excited about crocheting—it’s my favorite form of therapy.

⚙️ Materials Needed//⚙️ Materiales necesarios • Red crochet yarn. • 0 mm crochet hook. • Two white beads. • Metal ring with a chain for a keychain. • Scissors. • Glue. • Clamp for securing.
>• Hilo crochet color rojo. • Ganchillo de 0 mm. • Dos perlas blancas. • Argolla de metal con cadena para llavero. • Tijera. • Pegamento. • Pinza para ajustar.
🌸 Step-by-Step Knitting Guide//🌸 Paso a paso del tejido 1.- Flower Base.🌸 Start with a base of six chain stitches. Chain three; this will count as the first double crochet.
Work three double crochets into the chain base.
Chain five to create a space, which will form the openwork center.
>1.-Base de la flor.🌸 Comenzar con una base de seis cadenas. Subir con tres cadenas, esta se contará como el primer punto alto.
>Tejer tres puntos altos dentro de la base de cadena.
>Hacer cinco cadenas al aire de separación, asà dará la forma de calado del centro.

Repeat the same process—crochet three double crochets plus five chain stitches—four more times until the base is filled.
This gives us a round of five groups of three double crochets, separated by chain stitches.
Close the round with a slip stitch in the third stitch from the beginning of the first round.
Make two identical pieces for the keychain.

2.- Making the petals.🌸 On this round, start with a slip stitch into the double crochets, work to the first space, and fill that arch with ten double crochets; then, in the second double crochet of the base, work a single crochet, and repeat, filling in the arches.
Close the round with a slip stitch at the base of the first petal.
>2.- Elaboración de los pétalos.🌸 En esta vuelta usaremos para iniciar con un punto deslizado sobre los puntos altos llegar al primer espacio y rellenar ese arco con diez puntos altos y en el segundo punto alto de la base hacer un punto bajo y repetir rellenando los arcos.
>Cerrar la vuelta con un punto deslizado en la base del primer pétalo.

Cut the yarn, leaving a long strand about 15 cm long to join the two flower pieces. Apply glue to one of them, center it so they fit together perfectly, and use the crochet hook to join the flowers all the way around with single crochet stitches. Cut the yarn and fasten off.
>Cortar el hilo dejando una hebra larga de unos 15 cm para unir las dos piezas de flor, le colocaremos pegamento a una, centrarla que nos queden perfectamente, con el ganchillo unir las flores todo el alrededor con puntos bajos, cortar el hilo y remata el tejido.

3.- Assembling the Keychain 🌸🔑 First, we’ll hide the excess threads from the flower by tucking them behind the fabric and trimming them.
Attach the keychain ring to the flower. Use a pair of tweezers to open the ring and attach it to the fabric.
>3.- Ensamble del llavero 🌸🔑 Lo primero que haremos en esconder las hebras de hilos sobrantes de la flor, ocultar por la parte trasera del tejido cortar.
>Colocar la argolla del llavero a la flor, con la ayuda de una pinza abrir un aro y unir al tejido.
