I’m stopping by again today to show you how to make a beautiful multicolored crocheted necklace. It’s a very easy accessory to make—it consists of several crocheted strips in various colors, using scraps of yarn from our projects. These strips are made up of simple chain stitches, which are then twisted together and secured at the ends with a pin or a crocheted clasp.
This beautiful necklace can be part of your collection of accessories with a free-spirited, unique, and special style—it’s also a piece of folk art.
This necklace is made with leftover yarn, all of the same cotton thickness.

>Hoy paso por acá nuevamente para demostrarles cómo elaborar un precioso collar multicolor tejido a crochet, es un accesorio muy fácil de realizar, este se compone de varias tiras tejidas de varios colores, con retazos de hilos de nuestros trabajos, estas tiras tejidas compuestas de solo puntos de cadenas sencillas, que luego se enroscan todas juntas y la aseguramos en los extremos, con un pasador o un cierre tejido.

1.- Crochet the strips in different colors; there are ten strips, each consisting of 180 single crochet stitches.
First, we’ll use white yarn to prepare the strip—or the color of your choice—which should have a base of 180 single crochet stitches. This time, I made it to the desired length, and to make the necklace look more attractive, we’ll finish it off with a slip stitch.

>Primero utilizaremos el hilo color blanco para preparar la tira del tejido, o el color de tu preferencia, en la cual debemos realizar en una base de ciento ochenta cadenas, en esta oportunidad la hice de un largo deseado y para que se vea mas vistoso el collar, cerramos con un punto raso.

Leave an extra ten centimeters at each end.

We repeat this same process until we have nine more strips of different colors.

2.- Join and twist the necklace strands together.
Join all the crochet strands together at one of their loose ends, tying them off and securing them with a yarn needle to keep the base firmly joined.

3.- Crochet the clasp or fastener for the necklace.
First, we’ll hide the knots at the ends and make a pink clasp. Start with a base of ten chain stitches, followed by two chain stitches, and then work eight single crochet stitches into the base. Repeat this for ten rounds; we’ll use these to cover the ends.
Make two identical pieces, one for each end.

>Primero vamos a ocultar los nudos de los extremos y hacer un cierre de color rosado, realizar una base diez puntos cadenas, dos puntos cadenas y trabajar en la base con ocho puntos bajos, y repetir diez vueltas, estas las usaremos para cubris los extremos.

Let's position the end of the necklace and, using the yarn needle, make a loop to cover the join and serve as the base for the clasp. Then cut and weave in the loose ends.

To finish, twist the strips very carefully in the same direction to create a tightly wound spiral.
Continue to keep the strands taut so the twist doesn’t come undone, join the threads at the other end, and tie a secure knot to finish off the necklace perfectly.
We’ll attach the charms to each end of the necklace; to do this, use a needle and clear nylon thread. The woven necklace turned out so extraordinary and beautiful!
