Greetings, my dear community members! Happy Saturday #neeleworkmonday. Today I spent the whole day running errands and getting everything done ahead of time—doing laundry and cooking before the power goes out—because the other day I left the cream in the blender that was meant for lunch, and you won’t believe it, but the power went out at 8:30 a.m., and my family had to eat lunch late, without juice or cream because I couldn’t prepare them early. Today I made sure to get everything done early, and when the power’s out, I grab my yarn and needle and let the ideas flow to crochet a pretty headband using net-style stitches and attach it to the end of a hair tie, so it fits perfectly on the head without slipping.
With these hot days and no electricity, I made this cute headband with an elastic ponytail holder for my own use because it’s so necessary and practical. I made this headband using basic crochet stitches—it’s very easy and quick to make.

Hoy si me aplique hacer todo temprano, y cuando no hay fluido, agarro mis hilos y aguja y que fluyan las ideas, para trabajar una linda diadema tejida con puntos tipo red y unirlos al extremo de una colita para el cabello, así nos permite ajustar perfectamente a la cabeza sin que se pueda deslizar.
>Con estos días de calor y sin electricidad, me hice esta linda diadema con una colita elástica, para mi uso personal porque es muy necesaria y util, esta diadema la trabajé con puntos básicos del ganchillo, muy fácil y rápida de realizar.

🧶 Materials Needed.//🧶 Materiales Necesarios. • Mustard-colored crochet yarn. • Size 0 crochet hook. • A black elastic hair tie. • Scissors. • Wool needle.
>• Hilo crochet color mostaza. • Aguja de crochet N° 0. • Una cola elástica para el cabello color negro. • Tijeras. • Aguja lanera.
Step by Step.//Paso a Paso. 1.- Insert the needle through the center of the elastic band to secure it, chain a few stitches to secure the yarn, make a loop, and begin crocheting twelve medium single crochet stitches along the edge of the tail (you can adjust the number of stitches depending on how wide you want your headband to be).
>1.- Introducir la aguja por el centro de la banda elástica, para fijar, hacer una cadena para asegurar el hilo, hacer una lazada y comenzar a tejer al borde de la colita doce puntos bajos medios, (la cantidad de puntos la puedes variar dependiendo del ancho que desees tu diadema).

2.- Start with three chain stitches, which will be the first double crochet. Work twelve double crochets, turn, and make three chain stitches; repeat this process five times to complete a total of six rounds.
>2.- Comenzar con tres cadenas al aire, que sería el primer punto alto, trabajaremos doce puntos altos, girar y realizar tres puntos cadenas y repetir el mismo proceso cinco veces, para completar en total seis vueltas.

3.- Turn the work and chain up five stitches plus one single crochet to create the spaces or “arches” formed by the chains in the previous row (or directly above each double crochet).
>3.- Girar el tejido subir con cinco cadenas de altura más un punto bajo y así crear directamente los espacios o "arcos" creados por las cadenas de la hilera anterior (o directamente encima de cada punto alto).

4- Repeat this same procedure until you reach the sixtieth row, whether in stockinette stitch or lace stitch. Measure and stretch it over your head to achieve the desired size; this allows the crochet to give a little, ensuring it fits perfectly.
>4.- Se repite este mismo procedimiento hasta llegar la vuelta sesenta, de punto red o punto calado, lo vamos midiendo y estirando sobre la cabeza, para conseguir la medida deseada y así el crochet cede un poco, dando perfecto su función.

5.- Next, using the yarn needle, we’ll join the pieces and finish the headband by joining the double crochets to the chain stitches—that is, to the arches.
>5.- Luego con la aguja lanera vamos a unir y darle el acabo final a la diadema, unir los puntos altos con los puntos red, es decir a los arcos.

6.- Using the yarn needle, we'll tuck the remaining yarn between the stitches of the headband and cut the yarn.
