Today I want to show you my latest creation: a gorgeous crocheted flower choker. I came up with the idea to make it while the power was out—that’s how I quickly passed the five hours without electricity. With plenty of creativity, I gathered my materials and set to work on my new accessory, which I’ll pair with an outfit for a get-together with my friends.
This handmade necklace is crocheted. It’s very fashionable to combine the magic of crochet with white pearls—it gives a bohemian or romantic look.
Here’s a great tip for caring for your crocheted pieces and keeping them clean: hand-wash them gently with mild soap and cold water, without rubbing the beads so they don’t get damaged.

Step by step//Paso a paso 1.- Choker cord. To make it more secure, work the entire choker using three strands of yarn together to start making the cord. Chain 160 stitches to ensure the crocheted flower choker with pearls is a good length.

Once the cord is finished, we’ll use the wool needle to thread four medium-sized beads onto it. These beads will go at each end of the cord: place three beads together, and the fourth bead will secure them to the cord. Make a slip knot to secure them to the cord, then cut off the excess thread.

2.- Six-Petaled Flower. We’ll start with a circular base: make a magic ring in the center and work three chain stitches, which will count as the first double crochet. Next, work fourteen double crochets into the magic ring, and close the round with a slip stitch in the first stitch.

On the next round, chain three, work one double crochet, two increase double crochets, one double crochet, chain three, and close with a single crochet—this will form the first petal.

3.- Assemble the choker and the flower—it’s very easy and quick. Using the yarn needle, thread it through the back of the flower to create a loop for the cord, so you can adjust the height of the flower when you wear it.

After finishing my choker, I dressed up nicely to go to my friends' get-together and show off my new crocheted flower choker. I put on a black blouse to make the color of my necklace stand out. 😊
