Today I want to share with all of you this craft project: a rectangular crocheted net-stitch doily. This technique creates a geometric mesh base; it’s very versatile and is commonly used to make table centerpieces and decorative appliqués on clothing. It’s also ideal for creating alphabets or single letters. For this project, I designed some small flowers to be applied to the side edges, adding a beautiful decorative touch. It’s also perfect for beginners in the world of crochet—I highly recommend it.

>En este dÃa quiero compartir junto a todos ustedes este trabajo de manualidades consiste en un tapete rectangular en punto red tejido en ganchillo, es una técnica para crear una base de malla geométrica, además de ser muy versátil y se usa comúnmente para realizar centros de mesas, apliques decorativos en prendas de vestir, también es ideal para realizar alfabetos o inicial de alguna letra. Este proyecto le diseñe unas pequeñas flores aplicadas en los extremos laterales, combinando un bello detalle decorativo, además es ideal para personas principiantes en el mundo del tejido, se lo recomiendo.

Materials.//Materiales. • White wick yarn. • Light blue wick yarn. • Pink wick yarn. • 4.0 mm crochet hook. • Scissors. • Wool needle.
>• Hilo pabilo color blanco. • Hilo pabilo color azul claro. • Hilo pabilo color rosado. • Ganchillo N° 4.0 mm. • Tijeras. • Aguja lanera.
Step by Step//Paso a Paso 1.- First, we’ll use white yarn to prepare the base of the fabric, for which we need to make fifty chain stitches. This time, I chose to make it this size, but the number of chain stitches can vary depending on your design.
>1.- Primero utilizaremos el hilo color blanco para preparar la base del tejido, en la cual debemos realizar cincuenta cadenetas de base, en esta ocasión la quise hacer de este tamaño, es variante la cantidad de cadenas de base, depende de tu diseño.

2.- Work the first row: chain three stitches to form the first double crochet, then work one double crochet and two chain stitches. At the third stitch of the chain base, work one double crochet, and repeat this procedure seventeen times. Then work two double crochets to finish the first round.
>2.- Realizar la primera fila, hacer tres puntos al aire que serÃa el primer punto alto, mas otro punto alto más dos cadenas, al tercer punto de la base de cadena realizar un punto alto y repetir diecisiete el mismo procedimiento, seguidamente dos puntos altos para terminar la primera vuelta.

3.- Repeat the same process until you've made seventeen rounds, or until you feel it's the perfect fit for me.
Cut off the excess yarn and weave in the ends neatly with the yarn needle.

4.- Begin working the mesh-style appliqués, such as the simple flowers, which will be two colors—I made two pink ones and two blue ones. >4.- Comenzar a realizar los apliques del tejido tipo red, como lo son las flores sencillas que serán de dos colores, hice dos rosadas y dos azules, realizar un punto raso del color rosado en un punto de el cuadro, realizar tres puntos cadenas, seguidamente tres puntos altos, mas tres cadenas y punto bajo, repetir en los tres lados del cuadrado que estamos trabajando, cerrar con un punto deslizado .

Making the flowers was a bit of a hassle for me—you have to work on top of the fabric, and I had a hard time getting them just right, but it’s doable with some dedication.
Tie off the loose threads on the back of the fabric so it has a neat finish.
>Para realizar las flores para mi fueun poco engorroso, se tiene que trabajar por encina del tejido, y me costo que me saliera perfecto, pero si se puede con dedicación.
>Rematar los hilos sueltos por la parte trasera del tejido, asà el tejido tendrá un acabado limpio.
