Praying alone cannot bring us closer to God as we expected, but having a good heart that speaks about the good did of God is an important aspect for us to go get closer to God. The Bible teaches that we should also trust God, obey His word, repent from sin, and live according to His will.
A true relationship with God is centered on how we are ready to serve God with all our heart and mind. We should not only speak to God in prayer but also listen to Him through His word and allow His teachings to guide our lives. Therefore, prayer is a powerful way to draw closer to God, but it should be joined with sincere faith and a life that seeks to please Him.
