August 14, 2026, Prompt Day 3195: Colorful Language
For me, colorful language is about how I embellish the words I speak. Or rather, not embellishing them, but finding those words that, when they leave my mouth, bring about a change in expression. This prevents the insult from being felt; on the contrary, it allows words to produce a change in the other person, and thus the release can be experiential, leading to changes in behavior and attitude.
The power of words is real, and yet, despite so much being written on this topic, we still hear words that are black and white instead of colorful. How beautiful it is to hear people with a colorful and enthusiastic vocabulary, uplifting or changing the way they get attention, because ultimately, the one who is hurt the most is the person who lets slip words with colorful or black and gray letters. And those who hear it stay there; they don't leave so easily.
The effects are so profound that those dark words affect people in ways no one can imagine.
