Come and join me as I share this simple family lunch with you. Happy reading, my fellow Hivers! π
That day, we had a simple lunch together with the family while spending time in the province. There was nothing fancy about our meal, but it was still a special moment because we were all together. Sometimes, we do not need expensive food or a beautiful restaurant to enjoy a good meal. Having simple food with the people we love is already enough to make the day meaningful.
For our lunch, we had freshly cooked rice served with some simple dishes. We had fried dried fish, which was crispy and tasty when eaten with hot rice. The smell of the fried fish filled the small house and made everyone hungry. It was a very simple dish, but it is one of those foods that always tastes good, especially when eaten with family.
We also prepared odong with a warm and flavorful soup. It was perfect for the lunch because the soup was comforting, especially while eating with rice. The odong was simple to prepare, but everyone enjoyed having it on the table.
We also had some smoked fish or tinapa. Its smoky flavor went really well with the rice and the other dishes. Our lunch was not complicated at all, but there was enough food for everyone to enjoy.
While preparing the meal, everyone helped in their own little way. Some prepared the plates and spoons, while others helped serve the food. It was nice seeing everyone moving around and preparing for lunch together. Even these small things made the moment feel warm and happy.
When everything was ready, we finally sat down and started eating. We talked about simple things, shared stories, and laughed together. There was nothing extraordinary happening, but I enjoyed every moment. It reminded me that family time does not always have to be planned or expensive.
Living or spending time in the province also gives a different kind of feeling. The surroundings are simple and peaceful, and there is less pressure compared to busy places. Sometimes, all you need is a quiet place, good food, and people you can comfortably share your time with.
It may have been just an ordinary meal of rice, fried dried fish, odong, and tinapa, but sharing it with family made it special. These simple moments remind me that happiness can be found in everyday things. ![IMG20260817121452.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/mhe/Eq7MPdJc2wcrTSCrouD9Jt2XZxS9B1Y3E7fzNSYQSteRqZ3oe4AfL7yGeg3naggKSL8.jpg For me, a simple lunch with family is already something to be thankful for. It is not about how expensive the food is or how beautiful the place looks. What matters most is having people around you, sharing a meal, and creating memories together. Sometimes, the simplest days become the memories we remember the most.
