Children who have not lived long in this world can also experience death. It is a painful experience that can leave parents and families with deep sorrow. Yet, the Bible teaches that God cares about children and knows their pain. He is compassionate toward those who grieve, and He promises comfort to those who trust in Him. We may not always understand why a child dies, but we can trust that God is just, loving, and merciful.
Thankfully, the Bible gives hope beyond death through Jesus Christ and the promise of resurrection. Christians believe that death is not the final end, because God has promised eternal life and a future resurrection. We can therefore place our hope in God's mercy and care, especially when children die.
