The Heavy Silence of😠Midnight: Missing My Family While Staying Jobless in Lahore

It is midnight right now, and the silence inside my small rented quarter is so loud that it hurts. My roommates are fast asleep after a long day of work, but sleep is very far from my eyes. When you are out of work, the nighttime is the hardest part of the day. Your mind starts spinning with endless worries about room rent, next month's food, and the expectations of your family.I looked at my phone and saw a WhatsApp message from my mother in Karachi.
She asked me, Aftab, how is your health, and did you find a new shop yet? I sat there for ten minutes, staring at the keyboard. How can I tell my mother that her son is sitting empty-handed in a distant city? How can I tell her that the interview call never came? I did not want to make her cry, so I just typed, Everything is fine mama, I am just busy with work.
Telling a lie to your mother feels like a heavy stone on your chest, but keeping her safe from worry is the only thing I can do right now.. i miss my shop my favorite branch i are my old picture with you.
Living alone in Lahore has taught me many tough lessons, but tonight, the loneliness feels too heavy. I miss the simple noise of my family home in Karachi. I miss the sound of my mother washing dishes, my father talking about his day, and all of us sharing a simple dinner together. Here, if I do not get up and buy food, the stomach stays empty. If I fall sick, there is no one to put a cold cloth on my forehead.
I am writing this post just to take the pain out of my heart. I know that tomorrow the sun will rise again, and I will have to find new courage to face the world. But tonight, I am just a simple human being who is tired of the struggle and missing his home. Thank you for listening to my midnight thoughts, my Ecency family. Please pray that my days of waiting end soon.
