The Screams Fade in Yagata - Ghost of Tsushima.

Riding through the grim aftermath of Mongol brutality in Yagata Forest, I rescued a peasant before eliminating the surrounding enemy forces. After cutting through melee guards and archers with precise parries, I neutralized a final wave of reinforcements and delivered a mercy strike to a dying survivor.
Riding through the moonlit depths of Yagata Forest, I came across scenes of absolute devastation left behind by the invading Mongol army.
Scattered throughout the trees were the brutalized remains of local villagers, static displays of the cruelty the invaders used to terrorize the island.
As I navigated the dark trail, the muffled sound of shouting and desperate screaming echoed through the thick canopy, prompting me to investigate the source. Along the path, a terrified peasant ran up to report that a Mongol war party had infiltrated deep into the woods.
I spotted a lone Mongol guard standing watch over a clearing. I closed the distance quietly and executed a lethal critical strike, dropping him instantly before his companions could react.
Alerted by his collapse, several armored Mongols charged my position from the brush. I timed my parries perfectly, deflecting their incoming strikes and countering with devastating attacks.
Each guard fell to a single, clean sword stroke, allowing me to dismantle their frontline in seconds. With the swordmen dealt with, I turned my attention to a line of archers firing arrows
With the immediate threat cleared, a hidden woodsman cautiously stepped out from the thicket and resumed chopping down a tree, seemingly unfazed by the body count around him.
However, the faint sound of crying for help still lingered in the night air, signaling that the camp wasn't entirely secured. Pushing deeper, I spotted another Mongol archer perched on higher ground and took him out without hesitation.
Just as I thought the area was fully cleared, a final wave of Mongol reinforcements ambushed, though they proved no match for quick stance changes and parry counters.
Clearing the last combatant, I located a badly wounded survivor clinging to his last moments of life on the blood-soaked grass. With no other enemies in sight and the woods finally falling silent, I delivered a quick mercy strike, ending his suffering before riding onward into the forest.
