Good evening, friends and family of Hive.
Two weeks ago was my birthday; I was blessed to turn 32, and even though the last few months haven’t gone as I expected, there are always good reasons to be grateful to God. Most importantly, I have my family around me—especially my girls, who are what keep me going.
That morning I went to the bakery to get a dessert for the birthday celebration, and as is customary, I chose a cake—this time one with plenty of meringue and chocolate on top in the shape of delicious truffles and boleros. The inside was vanilla and filled with caramel; it looked quite tempting and full of sweetness.
The people around me surprised me with some thoughtful gifts: the girls made heart-shaped cards with congratulatory messages; Ricardo gave me some special-edition Nestlé chocolates—which I love—and a bouquet of our favorite flowers, sunflowers and blue roses; my dad also bought me a small cake; and my aunt gave me lipstick and earrings.
Just like every year, my mom was kind enough to decorate; this time, she went with a sunflower theme, added some balloons, and of course, the cakes—it turned out beautifully.
That evening, my closest family members joined me—it was so nice to have them with me. We snacked on some appetizers while we talked, sang “Happy Birthday,” and finally blew out the candle with my daughters right by my side as I made a wish, hoping this one will actually come true.
We cut the cake so everyone could enjoy a slice; I just ate the truffles and saved my portion for another day.
Even though it was a Wednesday, each of them made different moments of the day special and took the time to spend with me, and that means a lot to me.

Buenas noches, amigos y familia de Hive.
Hace 2 semanas fue mi cumpleaños, tuve la dicha de cumplir 32 años y aunque los últimos meses no han sido como esperaba, siempre hay buenos motivos para sentirme agradecida con Dios y lo más importante es que tengo a mi alrededor a mi familia, especialmente las niñas que son mi motor.
Ese día en la mañana fuí a la pastelería, por un postre para cantar el cumpleaños y como es costumbre elegí un pastel, esta vez uno con bastante merengue y chocolate en su cubierta en forma de ricas trufas y boleros, su interior si era de vainilla y relleno de arequipe, se veía bastante provocativo y lleno de dulzura.
Las personas a mi alrededor me sorprendieron con algunos detalles, las niñas hicieron unas tarjetas con forma de corazón y con un escrito de felicitación, Ricardo me regalo chocolates de la edición especial de Nestlé que me encantan y un ramo con nuestras flores favoritas, girasoles y rosas azules, mi papá también me compró un pequeño pastel y mi tía con un labial y zarcillos.
Mi mamá como cada año tuvo el detalle de decorar, en esta oportunidad fue con una temática de girasoles, agregó unos globos y porsupuesto los pasteles, le quedó hermoso.
Por la noche mis familiares más cercanos me acompañaron y que bonito poder tenerlos conmigo, comimos algunos pasapalos mientras hablábamos, cantamos el cumpleaños para finalmente soplar la velita con mis hijas bien cerquita de mi y pedir mi deseo, esperando que este si se haga realidad.
Cortamos el pastel para que todos disfrutarán de una porción, yo solo me comí las trufas y dejé mi parte para el otro día.
Aunque fue un miércoles, cada uno de ellos hizó que distintas horas del día fuera especial y se tomaron un tiempo para compartir conmigo y eso es muy valioso para mi.
