Good evening, moms and dads.
Every end and beginning of the school year brings with it a series of administrative tasks—so to speak—to keep our children’s academic lives moving forward. In my case, the tasks are the usual ones: simply re-enrolling the girls, since they’ll be staying at the same school. I set aside a morning to pick up their report cards and took the opportunity to complete their enrollment for next year.
I picked up the report card after the distribution date because I had to pay the monthly tuition and couldn’t do so by the due date, which is why they gave it to me at the school office. I don’t really like this method because I prefer to talk in person with the teachers about each girl’s progress and which areas I should reinforce at home, but sometimes things don’t go the way you want them to.
Then I went to finalize the girls’ registration. I just had to bring the physical exam form so they could attach it to their files and, of course, make the corresponding payment for registration and the month of September. Next year, I’ll need to update their ID photos, since the school tells me how often to do so. They gave me the payment slips and the badges for the uniforms, and that wrapped up the matter.
When I got home, I took my time reading each girl’s report card. First, Abby’s: I looked at all her creations and projects from the 4-year-old class and the skills she’d mastered, as listed on the report card, with an emphasis on her personal and social development and environmental components. It was a great school year for my little one, especially since she’s already talking more and is a very smart girl. Her final year of preschool is ahead of us.
Alys was promoted to third grade with an “A” grade. Her report card details all the competencies she’s achieved in the areas of Language and Communication, Math, Natural Sciences, Social Studies, Visual Arts, and English. I’m very proud of her because she really enjoys studying and is very diligent with each of her assignments, tests, and presentations.
We’re almost ready for the next school year—all that’s left is to get her school supplies and uniforms ready, since I’ve already completed her registration, which I consider the most important step to secure her spot at school.

Cada fin y comienzo del año escolar, trae consigo una serie de trámites por asà llamarlos, para continuar con la vida académica de nuestros hijos, en mi caso los trámites son los tradicionales solamente realizar la inscripción considerando que las niñas seguirán en la misma escuela, tomé una mañana para retirar sus boletines y aproveché de realizar las inscripciones del próximo año.
RetirĂ© el boletĂn pasada la fecha de entrega porque debĂa cancelar la mensualidad y no pude hacerlo en la fecha correspondiente, razĂłn por la cuál me lo entregaron por la direcciĂłn, no me gusta mucho esta modalidad ya que me gusta conversar en persona con las maestras acerca de como estuvo el progreso de cada niña y que áreas debo reforzar en casa, pero a veces las cosas no pueden ser como uno quiere.
Luego pase a formalizar la inscripción de las niñas, solo tuve que llevar el cardiovascular para que lo anexaran a su expediente y por supuesto realizar el pago correspondiente de la inscripción y del mes de septiembre, para el próximo año si me toca actualizar sus fotos tipo carnet ya que la institución me indica cada cuanto hacerlo, me entregaron los cartones de pago y las insignias para los uniformes y asà dimos por concluido este asunto.
Cuando llegue a casa leĂ con tranquilidad los boletines de cada niña, primero el de Abby, vi todas sus creaciones o trabajos en la sala de 4 años y sus competencias alcanzadas en el boletĂn, haciendo Ă©nfasis en su formaciĂłn personal y social y en los componentes ambientales, fue un gran año escolar para mi pequeña, considerando que ya habla más y es una niña muy inteligente, nos espera su Ăşltimo año en el preescolar.
Alys fue promovida a tercer grado con la categorĂa literal "A", en su boletĂn se describen todas las competencias alcanzadas en las áreas de Lenguaje y ComunicaciĂłn, Matemáticas, Ciencias Naturales, Ciencias Sociales, Artes Plásticas y InglĂ©s, me siento muy orgullosa de ella porque le gusta mucho estudiar y es muy aplicada en cada uno de sus tareas, exámenes y exposiciones.
Ya estamos casi listas para el próximo año escolar, solo falta alistar sus útiles escolares y uniformes, porque su inscripción ya la realice, es lo que considero más importante para asegurar su cupo en el colegio.
