Hello, friends and family.
Yesterday we had a pool party with my team from the Medical Service. It was originally supposed to be a mandatory meeting, but the day before, our boss revealed that it was actually a pool party to help us relax after months of hard work—she wanted to give us a chance to enjoy a different kind of moment before we went on vacation, leaving all the stress and worries behind.
We had to be at work by 8:00 a.m. and be on time, because we were all going to take a bus together to the venue where the celebration would take place. We left at 9:00 a.m. because, as you know, there are always setbacks; however, that didn’t disrupt the event, and everyone was very happy.
We arrived at the pool, which, by the way, is close to my house. I hadn’t had the chance to check it out yet since it opened a couple of months ago. I have to say that the facilities were nice and clean, and the atmosphere was pleasant—perfect for spending some quality time with my coworkers.
No celebration is complete without cakes, sweets, and snacks. To start the morning, we ate empanadas, pastries, and tequeños. I didn’t want to eat much because I’d already had breakfast earlier, but I ended up trying a little of everything later on.
Then we took some group photos and others with each department—we couldn’t miss our photo with the boss.

While we were talking, in the blink of an eye it was already noon. We had soup for lunch, and a couple of hours later they served us rice and salad. To be honest, I had to save the rice for later because I was so full.
They held a dance contest; I was just there as part of the crowd, since I’m hopeless at dancing. We also listened to some live music performed by a group of girls who were just starting out in that field.
To wrap up the afternoon, we sang “Happy Birthday” to the birthday kids for June and July. They wanted to celebrate mine early, but I told them no, since there are still 12 days left until my birthday.
I really enjoyed this activity; we needed to let loose, and even though I couldn’t go swimming in the pool—since I now have to be careful not to let the sun raise my intraocular pressure—it was a real privilege to spend time with the team.

Hola, amigos y familia.
