Good evening, dads and moms. I’d like to take this opportunity to wish you all a happy midweek.
Children’s Day is a very important day for my daughters, which is why I always try to give them my full attention throughout that entire weekend. Right now, with the daily grind and work, I feel like I’m not giving them the time they need, but while it’s true that to provide them with a decent life, a mom has to work for them too—so she can give them what they need during their childhood.
On Saturday, I took them to their favorite playground as my gift to them. The next day (Children’s Day) began with some gifts from their grandparents and their aunt Noelys; my mom took it upon herself to organize them for the girls, along with some cute balloons featuring their favorite Disney princesses. At that moment, they decided to open their gifts later because it was time for breakfast.
For breakfast, I made their favorite meal for this time of day—it might not be the healthiest, but they love it: delicious tequeños. Any self-respecting Venezuelan kid loves them, especially on special days or during celebrations.
Then we opened their gifts, which included crowns, wigs, and princess wands. I dressed them up so they could feel like princesses—because that’s what they are to me: beautiful princesses. We played for a while while they stayed in their outfits.
That day, my dad made them a special lunch to keep celebrating their special day: fried chicken with mashed potatoes—it’s their favorite lunch after spaghetti—which they devoured quickly. Finally, they had some creamy vanilla and chocolate ice cream to round out the afternoon.
We thought the surprises were over, but my aunt called them so we could go to her house and give them a gift I had for them—some cute personalized mugs filled with candy, which I loved—and they were very happy with the gesture.
My whole family made them happy on their special day, and they couldn’t stop thanking everyone for their gifts. Just imagine—they’re the only girls we have on my mother’s side of the family. You know what they say: “Happy girls, happy mom,” and that’s all I need to feel at peace.

Buenas noches,papitos y mamitas. Aprovecho la ocasión para desearles a todos un feliz ombligo de semana.
El Día del Niño es una fecha muy importante para mis hijas, razón por la cuál siempre busco darles toda mi atención durante todo ese fin de semana, ahorita por la cotidianidad y el trabajo siento que no les brindo el tiempo que necesitan, pero si bien es cierto que para darles una vida digna mamá debe trabajar también para ellas y así poder darles aquello que necesiten durante su niñez.
El sábado yo las llevé a su parque de juegos favorito como mi regalo, el día siguiente(Día del Niño) inició con algunos obsequios por parte de sus abuelos y su tía Noelys, mi mamá se dió la tarea de organizarlos para ellas, con unos lindos globos de sus princesas favoritas de Disney, en ese momento decidieron destapar los regalos después porque las era momento de desayunar.
Para su desayuno busqué su comida favorita para esta hora del día que quizás no sea la más saludable pero les encantan, fueron unos deliciosos tequeños, niño Venezolano que se respete los aman sobretodo en los días especiales o celebraciones.
Luego abrimos sus regalos, entre ellos habían unas coronas, cabello y varitas de princesa, les coloque vestidos para que se sintieran como unas, porque eso son ellas para mi vida unas hermosas princesas, jugamos un rato mientras permanecían con sus atuendos.
Ese día mi papá les preparó un almuerzo especial para seguir celebrando su día, pollo frito con puré de papas, es su almuerzo favorito después de los espaguetis, el cuál devoraron rápidamente, finalmente comieron un cremoso helado de mantecado y chocolate para cerrar la tarde.
Pensábamos que las sorpresas habían terminado pero mi tía las llamó para que fuéramos a su casa y así darles un obsequio que les tenía, unas lindas tazas personalizadas con dulces dentro, que a mi me encantaron, ellas estaban muy contentas con su detalle.
Toda mi familia las hizó felices en su día y ellas no paraban de darles las gracias a todos por sus regalos, es que imagínense son las únicas niñas que tenemos en mi familia materna, ya saben como dicen: "Niñas felices, mamá feliz" y eso es todo lo que necesito para estar tranquila.
