Good evening, blog friends—how are you? Here I am again to tell you about my day. We got up a bit later this morning and had a simple yet delicious lunch: cherry tomatoes dressed with olive oil, salt, and garlic, alongside bread topped with Gorgonzola melted in the oven—a real treat. Later, we had an appointment at the hospital in Pescia; I’m taking you along through its interesting corridors. It isn’t one of those sterile, grey hospitals that are in vogue these days; it’s an old, charming hospital—and a great one, too, as everyone has a positive experience there.
The hospital is large, featuring beautiful arched corridors and checkered flooring; it has the look of an old city hospital. It also houses something truly lovely: a series of paintings created by patients—including works by women addressing domestic violence, still a major scourge in our country where many women are killed by violent husbands and partners, as well as charming, cheerful paintings by hospitalized children that bring brightness to a place that is usually somber. Furthermore, the hospital windows offer a view of the skyline of the old town of Pescia—a truly beautiful and distinctive sight.

No es uno de esos hospitales grises y estériles que tanto se llevan hoy en día; es un hospital antiguo y con encanto, además de excelente, ya que todo el mundo tiene una experiencia positiva allí.

I made a bit more of an effort with my appearance to go out today; if I’m just staying close to home, I dress much more simply, but when I go out, I try to look a little more put-together—even if it’s just with a touch of makeup and an accessory. I also stopped by the pharmacy to pick up my sleep drops; unfortunately, I’ve been suffering from severe insomnia lately—what with the intense heat and all the worrying about financial, political, and global issues. Anyway, during my walk, I ran into a beautiful Boxer—such a sweet dog. For dinner, I made a simple chicken and potato dish; I’ve been making it a lot lately because it’s quick, delicious, and easy. And, of course, I couldn't resist taking photos of my silly cats—my beloveds, who are always so adorable.

También pasé por la farmacia a recoger mis gotas para dormir; lamentablemente, últimamente sufro de insomnio severo debido al calor intenso y a todas las preocupaciones sobre temas económicos, políticos y globales. En fin, durante mi paseo me encontré con un bóxer precioso; era un perro encantador. Para la cena preparé un plato sencillo de pollo con patatas; lo he estado cocinando mucho últimamente porque es rápido, delicioso y fácil de hacer. Y, por supuesto, no pude resistirme a sacarles fotos a mis gatos traviesos: mis adorados, que siempre están tan guapos.
