After tracking the hyena leader to a pit below an abandoned construction site, I ziplined into the lair and eliminated the surrounding pack using aerial strikes. Landing a Leap of Faith into a nearby haystack, I executed the leader with a single fire arrow before clearing out roaming desert packs on horseback.
Following the track along the ridge of the hyena lair, I peered over the edge and located the aggressive hyena leader lounging in a deep pit below, completely surrounded by a large pack of guard hyenas patrolling the perimeter.
I used an overhead rope to zipline across the canyon toward a lower ledge. Landing silently on the opposite side, I immediately surprised a solitary guard hyena waiting nearby, taking it down before it could bark an alarm.
Sneaking along the rocky overhang directly above the main pack, I executed a leap attack onto one of the guards, killing it in a single strike. However, the rest of the pack immediately turned and snapped at me, threatening to overwhelm my position.
Recognizing the danger of fighting the entire group on flat ground, I scrambled back up the nearest cliff face. While perched at a safe height, I toggled photo mode to scope out the hyena leader, who remained completely unaware of the chaos unfolding above him.
Setting up another leap attack from the elevated ledge, I dropped back down into the pit. I systematically fought through the remaining guards, executing smooth dodges and heavy strikes until every single hyena guard was cleared out, leaving only the leader.
Moving along the upper scaffolding, I spotted a wooden plank extending over a haystack positioned right near the sleeping leader. I performed a Leap of Faith straight into the pile, landing without making a sound while the beast rested nearby.
Slipping out of the hay, I drew my bow and fired a single fire arrow directly at the hyena leader. The arrow ignited on contact, instantly killing the beast and completing the location objective for the lair.
Searching the pit for loot chests, I uncovered a grim scene showing that these scavengers had preyed on local desert laborers. Piles of human bones and discarded tools were scattered all across the dirt floor.
I stepped onto a mechanical pulley lift to quickly ascend back to the top of the canyon. Surveying the area from the high platform, I confirmed the location was originally an active construction site before the hyena pack invaded and slaughtered the workers.
Spotting additional wild hyenas roaming out in the open desert dunes beyond the lair, I mounted my horse and rode out to hunt them. Remaining in the saddle, I swung my weapon from horseback to clear the entire pack and collect their hides and crafting materials.
