A lovely sunset always calms the nerves.

Amid all of the bad weather warnings, one can still find spots of beauty.
I took the photos of the sunset from our normal high spot, as one can see the horizon from there, and also the sea front. We received an urgent warning about an approaching cold front, and I took a ton of photos during the day that I will show you soon. Now to get back to the sunset. It was one of those special moments to watch nature's unfolding beauty, similar to turning the pages of a picture book.
Of course, I had to wait for the sun to become covered by that triple line of clouds, and then I started clicking away. My idea was to also get the mountains in the shots, as it always looks so good, and it adds character to the photos. So, imagine standing next to me with your camera and seeing all of the views in this post. Many poems have been written about the beauty of sunsets, but don't worry as I will not now consider writing a poem, as I don't feel in the mood for it at this stage.
This was the view down the road when we left our house, and I love that double layer of mountains.
And this was the view when we arrived at the high spot. You can see the high buildings at the seafront, and the sea, then the mountains across the bay, and finally the clouds up in the sky. On a clear day this also looks magical. The horizon is about 40-50 kilometers from where I was standing to take the pictures.
That's what it looked like when the sky started to color up.
And there was the sun in the clouds.
I tried to get the rear side of Table Mountain in the shots, but the colors were too bright to see the mountain clearly (3 shots below).
Now here is something totally different.
Different, as this is what we see back at home. I have a very enclosed sky view due to being surrounded by houses and trees.
And I can still find good spots to give you an idea of what we can see here at home.
I don't know about you, but a sunset always places me in a tranquil mood, so as if to say that the day is done and before we go to bed a color show will make you sleep better, especially after a hard day. It just so happened to have been a hard day, as we struggle to find a suitable NPO partner for the malnutrition project that I am working on at Papillon. Many little children die, especially under the age of 5 due to malnutrition. When I say many, it's thousands and we have made some approaches to existing non-profits that are active in the field of malnutrition. And so, the work is in progress, and we hope to find a legitimate partner soon. Such is life.
