Here, I show how my husband and I remove tobacco seedlings from the seedbed, as well as those that have sprouted directly from the ground. Often, he has scattered plenty of tobacco seeds across the plot, yet they fail to sprout.
At home, however, the plant grows very easily; it springs up wherever there is soil or even a tiny crack—the seeds are incredibly fertile—provided the conditions are right for growth.
Once transplanted into cups, the seedlings were taken to the plot and planted, but they have to be watered sparingly because the well is dry and there has been no rain.
