Event basics
What is Monday Night Madness?
Monday Night Madness is a season of 13 weekly, one-hour Splinterlands Anytime tournaments. Players compete for prizes in each weekly event and earn points towards the final season leaderboard.
There is no separate final event. The season ends after the thirteenth weekly tournament, and the final leaderboard determines the season prize winners.
When does Season One take place?
Season One runs for 13 consecutive Mondays, beginning on 17 August 2026 and ending on 9 November 2026.
Every tournament starts at 19:30 UTC.
Who can enter?
Monday Night Madness is open to all Splinterlands players, regardless of their rating or current league.
How much does it cost to enter?
Entry costs 50 DEC for each weekly tournament.
How do I enter?
Register for the relevant tournament through the Splinterlands website. Registration closes automatically at the deadline displayed on that tournament's page.
No separate check-in is required.
Can I join after the season has started?
Yes. Players may join at any point during the 13-week season by registering for an available weekly tournament. Points earned from that point onwards will count towards their season total.
Can I enter using more than one account?
No. Monday Night Madness operates a strict one-account-per-person rule.
Tournament format
What format is used?
Every tournament uses the Modern Silver format. Players compete using their own collections.
Owned, rented and delegated cards may be used, provided they are eligible for the Modern Silver format.
This event is now a Ghost Card event.
How does each weekly tournament work?
Each event consists of one round lasting one hour. The Splinterlands platform places players into groups of up to eight, and each player may face every other player in their group once. This produces a maximum of seven matches per player.
Matches must be completed within the one-hour tournament window.
Must I complete every assigned match to earn points?
No. A player who completes only some of their matches can still earn leaderboard points based on their final published placement. However, failing to play a match puts the player at a competitive disadvantage and may result in their opponent receiving the win under the standard Splinterlands tournament rules.
What happens if I register but do not play any matches?
A player who completes no matches receives zero leaderboard points for that week. Their 50 DEC entry fee is not refunded.
How many players are required for an event to go ahead?
A weekly tournament requires at least four registered players.
Once an event begins with at least four registered players, it remains valid even if one or more players do not complete any matches.
What happens if a tournament is cancelled?
If a weekly tournament is cancelled, entry fees will be refunded and no leaderboard points will be awarded for that week.
Weekly points and prizes
How are leaderboard points awarded?
Points are awarded according to each player's final published placement:

A player receives only the points for their applicable finishing band. The bands are not cumulative within a single event.
Do all 13 results count?
Yes. Points earned across all 13 weekly tournaments count towards the final leaderboard. There are no dropped scores or best-result limits.
What are the weekly prizes?
The same prize schedule applies to all 13 weekly tournaments:

When are weekly prizes delivered?
Results are subject to a 24-hour review period. Weekly prizes are delivered to the Splinterlands account used to enter the tournament, normally within 48 hours after the review period closes.
