I searched for a way to drain the flooded area, and found a control room. After powering a generator and moving a cable, I restored power to the pumps. Down below, I fought off aggressive infected threats before moving to the turbine room to investigate the broken feed pipes.
I needed to turn on the pumps to drain the flooded area, but I could not find an immediate way to unlock the room. I searched around the facility until I found a path leading into the control room. Once inside, I reached the pump controls and found the system offline.
Largo declared that I needed to find a backup circuit to get power to the system. Even though the foreman mentioned earlier that it might not work, Kyle still wanted to try. I located a generator and switched it on, causing it to hum to life.
There was an extension cable attached to the generator, so I grabbed it to connect the power directly to the pumps. However, the cable was quite short, giving me only about four meters of slack to work with. I realized I could drag a nearby mobile power unit closer to bridge the gap.
Moving the unit revealed a vent shaft nearby. I dragged the cable over, plugged it in, and successfully restored power to the pumps. The pumps started up, and the water began draining from the flooded ground.
I stepped down to check the lower level, though the sounds echoing from below were unsettling.
The noise made me worry that something dangerous was waiting underground. Sure enough, a group of fast runners, which looked like boosters, came charging at me. Luckily, I had my fury mode ready and activated it at the right moment to quickly dispatch them.
With the area cleared, I made my way into the turbine room. I located the main controls and attempted to switch the turbine on. It started briefly, but it would not stay running.
Largo mentioned that the turbines required a continuous water supply, but the primary feed pipe was completely broken.
Largo also noted there was an auxiliary water intake, though it was likely damaged as well. I decided to head further in to inspect the feed pipes myself. As I pushed forward through the corridor, I spotted movement up ahead in the shadows.
Instead of standard infected, I saw bloaters lurking in the dark passages. I kept my distance and managed to detonate the first one from a safe position. Another bloater noticed me and started walking forward.
I waited for it to get closer before firing a quick shot, causing it to explode before it could reach me. I knew there were still more enemies nearby. Another bloater came rushing toward me like a mad dog, but I took aim and blew it away before it could do any harm.
I'll show what happens next later.

I personally took all the screenshots from my play and I used a logo of the game from online to use in the thumbnail.
This is Pikachuuuuu signing off. Over and out.
