The Pink Skies of the Himalayas

There are moments in the Himalayas when the mountains seem to forget their ruggedness and become almost dreamlike. As the day begins to fade, the sky slowly turns shades of pink, painting the peaks, clouds, and distant valleys with a soft, warm glow. For a few quiet minutes, everything feels still.
I stood there watching the evening unfold, as the last light of the sun touched the snowy ridges. The mountains that had looked powerful and imposing throughout the day suddenly appeared gentle, wrapped in pastel shades of pink and gold. The clouds drifted slowly above the peaks, catching the fading light as if they had been placed there just for this moment.
The pink skies lasted only for a little while before slowly giving way to the deeper colours of twilight. But perhaps that is what makes them so beautiful. The Himalayas remind you that some of the most breathtaking moments are also the most fleeting.
There was no rush to go anywhere. No sound of traffic, no crowded streets only the cold mountain air, the distant sound of the wind, and the changing colours of the sky. It was one of those rare moments where you don't feel the need to take a picture, yet you know you will remember it for a long time.
