Contiguous swift butterfly

Early in the morning, I ventured back into the wild in search of beautiful insects. My destination today was an irrigation area; the soil there was moist, keeping the small bushes alive and fresh-looking. Not all irrigated areas retained such fresh shrubbery, most plants elsewhere were beginning to wither and die from a lack of water. On the bush I visited, I managed to spot a Contiguous Swift butterfly perched on an Israel grass flower. Perhaps it was looking for breakfast. At that moment, it wasn't yet sipping nectar; it was simply standing on the flower petals. Its eyes kept darting toward me, and its antennae twitched.
It stood very calmly on the petals, as if nothing were happening nearby. I stepped closer, adjusting the focus to ensure a sharp image so it would look beautiful on my phone screen. Just as I was engrossed in taking photos, it suddenly moved to the tip of a nearby grass plant. It struck a beautiful pose again, spreading its wings wide. I managed to capture only one shot there.
It moved to another leaf and showed off its style once more, spreading its wings again. This time, I managed to take a shot from behind, revealing the butterfly's back stunning with its dense fuzz and plump body.
Judging by its behavior, the butterfly seemed like a seasoned pro at photoshoots. It knew exactly how to pose and pick the perfect spot, like the final location it chose: a leaf bathed in sunlight. When the sun hit, its wings displayed a beautiful golden sheen, as if it were revealing, one by one, the little secrets hidden beneath them.
