LONGHORN BEETLE // Capturing the Remarkable Details of a Longhorn Beetle Through Macro Photography

Good night to all my beloved hive friends ♥️

I can conclude that the farther we explore the tiny world of insects, the more amazing things we will discover, even some things that we have never encountered before. Let me introduce you to this longhorn beetle, which most likely belongs to the family Cerambycidae. This beetle has very interesting body features and colors, and believe me, this uniqueness can only be seen from a close distance.

As its name suggests, this particular insect has very long antennae consisting of many segments. However, what caught my attention the most is its incredibly beautiful color, which is yellow and complemented by black patterns that look like engravings. Honestly, this is the first time I have been able to clearly see every detail of this particular insect, and this is exactly what I meant at the beginning: the tiny world of insects holds so many mysteries and such extraordinary beauty, and it takes effort and hard work to be able to see and appreciate it.

While flying, this insect looks very much like a wasp, and I only realized it when it landed on a tree branch. However, unfortunately, this particular beetle is relatively small in size, making it quite difficult to see its beauty. By using a macro lens, I was able to clearly see every detail of this insect, except for the shape and color of its wings, because the wings are covered by its shell.

As far as I know, this particular beetle is already considered quite rare in my area, and I have not come across one for quite a long time. I managed to find this beetle around a rice field area, and I was able to photograph it while it was perched on a tree branch.

The most difficult part was when I tried to photograph this particular beetle from the front. “Difficult does not mean impossible.” Perhaps this beetle considered me a threat, so it kept avoiding the lens of my macro camera. To capture this moment perfectly, I decided to use my ultimate technique, which is taking a very large number of photos. I believe that out of all the photos I managed to take, there must be a few that turned out beautifully, with extraordinary results.

From the two photos above, we can clearly see the black patterns on the shell of this beetle. Have you guys ever seen this beetle before .?

Believe me, every effort will eventually pay off with satisfying results, but it also depends on how much effort we put into it. From the three photos above, we can see this insect from an incredibly close distance, really close. Every detail can be seen quite clearly, and this is one of the reasons why I am so interested in continuing to explore the tiny world of insects.

Photographing flying insects from a close distance is not an easy thing to do. Honestly, I come across so many unique insects every day, but only a few of them are successfully captured in my photos.
