Hello Everyone! Hope you all are doing great and welcome to another #Splinterlands post.

Alright, time for another #Splinterlands card spotlight!

Today I'm looking at another card that honestly looks pretty simple at first, but once you look at what it can actually do, it becomes a little more interesting.

The card I'm talking about today is, New Sskah Drudge.

This is a Common Death unit, and at Level 10, which is the max level, it has 2 abilities that give it a pretty useful role in certain battles.

The stats are:

Mana Cost: 5

Ranged Attack: 3

Health: 7

Speed: 3

Armor: 2

And the two abilities are:

True Strike: Attacks will never miss.

Affliction: 50% chance to apply Afflicted after a successful attack. Afflicted units cannot be healed.

And that second ability, that's the interesting part.

𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤 ===================

Looking at New Sskah Drudge for the first time, I wouldn't call it a super exciting card.

It's got 3 ranged attack, 7 health, 3 speed and 2 armor.

Nothing here screams "OMG THIS CARD IS BROKEN!"

But that's actually fine.

Not every card needs crazy stats.

Sometimes the ability is what makes a card worth using.

And with New Sskah Drudge, that ability is Affliction.

If you're fighting a team that depends heavily on healing, this little guy can become a serious headache.

Because once Afflicted is applied, that unit cannot be healed.

And that can completely change a battle.

𝐀𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝟏: 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐤𝐞 ========================================

True Strike: Attacks will never miss.

Let's start with the first ability.

True Strike means that New Sskah Drudge's attacks will never miss.

I really like abilities like this because you don't have to worry about wasting attacks.

There are plenty of battles where enemies have high speed or abilities that give them a chance to dodge attacks.

Normally, you might attack, and MISS.

But New Sskah Drudge doesn't have that problem.

If it gets an attack, it lands.

That makes its 3 ranged attack much more reliable.

It's not the highest damage you'll ever see, but at least you're getting consistent damage every round.

𝐀𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝟐: 𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 =======================================

Affliction: 50% chance to apply Afflicted after a successful attack. Afflicted units cannot be healed.

Now let's talk about the ability I think makes this card interesting.

Affliction.

After a successful attack, there's a 50% chance to apply Afflicted to the target.

And once a unit is Afflicted, it cannot be healed.

This is HUGE against healing-heavy teams.

Think about a tank sitting in the first position.

It's taking damage every round.

But behind it, the opponent has a healer restoring its health again and again.

You damage the tank, the healer brings it back up.

You damage it again, it gets healed again.

And this cycle can be extremely annoying.
