Paul states in 2 Timothy 2: 5 that, the Christian life is like a race and only those who follow God’s guidelines will be rewarded. No matter how passionate a believer is, they cannot expect Christ’s approval, “Well done, good and faithful servant,” without laboring according to His Word.
As christians we have to obey the will of the Father. Jesus emphasized in Matthew 7: 21 - 27 that those who obey the will of God will enter the kingdom of heaven. God’s will is revealed in His Word and ignoring it is refusing to do His will.
