Hello, my lovely Hive Naija people. It’s another beautiful weekend, and we’re excited to have you here once again. A new weekend simply means another chance to buzz the Hive blockchain, connect with one another, and simply have fun. You'll also agree with me that there’s something special about bringing everyone together to gist, share opinions, and enjoy good vibes. That is exactly the reason we will continue to meet every weekend.
OBJECTIVE
Sam's Hangout is focused on promoting the togetherness of the Nigerian brethren through active engagement on the blockchain. Beyond that, it is also centered towards the wellbeing of everyone who takes part in our weekend discussions and helps keep our discord running with their presence.

TRIBE OR NATION?
Now to our discussion for this weekend! We will be discussing "TRIBE OR NATION?”. In many multicultural societies, ethnicity and tribal identity are an important part of people's heritage as they give them a true sense of belonging. However, when these identities begin to influence relationships, employment, politics, or everyday interactions, they can also become sources of division in a nation. It is with this observation that many people have begun asking the right questions about inclusion and whether fierce loyalty to one's tribe breaks or makes a nation.
Here's the question! Do you think tribalism has become much more prevalent in our society in recent times than many people are willing to admit? If yes, what personal experiences or stories makes you think so, and how can society begin to reduce these biases?

When it comes to opportunities, should people be discouraged from giving undue advantage to their tribesmen over qualified candidates or celebrating their tribes in a way that displaces unity and nation building? If yes, how can we ensure that our cultural heritage is preserved without allowing it to divide us?
