The aspect of my childhood that I will never forget

Greetings!
The saying in my local parlance that says, “Twenty children cannot play for twenty years,” is not just an ordinary saying and that's why I would always respect the elderly proverbs and this is because, their thoughts, I mean the elder's thought are always deep when it comes to the matter of life and for this reason, they have done well in making us to know right from our hay days that there's no way all of us that were growing up and playing together at that particular time would still be together after years.
Having said so much about this, I would like to delve into the topic of the prompt in the Hive students connect community which is all about, "Childhood friendship.”
Whenever I remember my childhood life, I'm always smiling as it's so full of fun and the memories in my head are the type that cannot be erased till eternity. Although we. I mean all of us that played together back then are no more together as some are no more and I pray that may their soul rest in peace, (Amen)
Also, we still have some that are still alive, but where they are is of distance to where I'm,but even at that we still talk, but not all of them still have that luxury of time to talk to me, we have those that are very close by, but that doesn't mean we are close as those that are not close by.
However, there's one of them that is far from me physically but close in mind and his name is Yinka. Yinka used to be my childhood friend and we both met with each other when our parents rented the same apartment together. Ever since then, we have friends and our growing up was full of memories. One of those memories is when we used to do this hide and seek game called dodging fire, another memory of ours was that of us riding bicycles with the stipend our parents used to give to us while going to school. I could remember the day the man that used to rent the bicycle to us seized our school uniform. We begged him to release our school uniform to us all to no avail and it's when we got home that our parents went there to help us pay after we had been punished.
Although Yinka is kind of far from where I'm now, anytime we are chanced to talk, we still discuss our growing up together and laugh together. The last time I saw him was when he came home from Canada and we both went to where we grew up together to have fun with those little ones that we believe would one day be like us and also visit the place when they must have become adults like us.
Both Yinka and I have benefitted from our long term friendship and I can boldly tell us here that we are now more than friends.
