Does Sylhet Really Never Let Anyone Go? (A Story of an Enchanting City)

I am a person from Sylhet. I might not have traveled to many places in the world, but Sylhet always feels completely different to me. Not just because it is my birthplace—it is a city that does not easily fade from a person's mind. Sylhet means green hills, tea gardens, the surrounding open air, and very kind-hearted people. There is a different feeling in the air here. When it rains, the whole city seems to pause for a bit. Within that pause lies a strange, quiet beauty. What makes Sylhet special is not just nature, but its language, culture, and the hospitality of its people. The Sylheti language has its own rhythm. Food, hospitality, and a simple lifestyle combine to create a feeling that cannot be understood without experiencing it. I often wonder—how can such a small city hold so much memory in the minds of people living thousands of miles away? Perhaps there is only one answer to this: Even if you leave, Sylhet never lets you go.
