Conseguir y cazar sombras entre las sombras no es tarea fácil.
Pasé por casa de mi amiga Hermary Romero (@hermaryrc). Ella se encontraba preparando la cena en pleno apagón. Ahora la luz la cortan diariamente por seis horas.
Todo estaba a oscuras, ella hacía las arepas y rellenó una para mi.

Su hijo Ángel Gabriel (@angeljr) se acercó a ayudarla en ciertos detalles que ella no podía realizar debido a su problema de la vista. A consecuencia del glaucoma, perdió totalmente la vista en uno de sus ojos y fue intervenida quirúrgicamente y le colocaron una válvula en el otro ojo para preservar el 2% de visión que aún le quedaba allí.

Admiro mucho a Hermary, es una mujer luchadora que con solo ese 2% de visión en un solo ojo está súper activa: participa del coro de la iglesia, canta - en compañía de @carmenrivas - en los rosarios de difuntos, práctica bailoterapia cuatro veces a la semana - y aprovecha esos momentos para vender dulces entre sus compañeras y así asegura el pasaje de su hijo para la universidad ya que la misma se encuentra en otro estado.
Allí en la cocina capturé su sombra y con ella participo esta semana en este divertido concurso.

Finding and capturing shadows within the shadows is no easy task.
I stopped by my friend Hermary Romero's (@hermaryrc) house. She was preparing dinner during a blackout. Now the power is cut off daily for six hours.
Everything was dark; she was making arepas and filled one for me.

Her son, Ángel Gabriel (@angeljr), came over to help her with certain details she couldn't do because of her vision problems. As a result of glaucoma, she lost all sight in one eye and underwent surgery to have a valve implanted in the other to preserve the 2% of vision she still had there.

I really admire Hermary. She's a fighter who, with only 2% vision in one eye, is incredibly active: she sings in the church choir, performs rosaries for the deceased (along with @carmenrivas), does dance therapy four times a week, and uses those moments to sell sweets to her coworkers to help pay for her son's university tuition since it's in another state.
I captured her shadow there in the kitchen, and I'm using it to enter this week's fun contest.
