I played as Hinako, an ordinary Japanese girl walking through a quiet, eerie town. After saving my progress at a local shrine, I took a narrow shortcut to avoid a blocked road. I heard strange voices about a curse before meeting a friend Sakuko, who acted completely unpredictable.
I was playing as Hinako, a young Japanese girl who believed there was nothing extraordinary about herself. Through her journal entries, I learned about her mother, her father, and her elder sister named Junko.
The town was completely silent, and the entire neighborhood felt empty as if nobody lived there anymore.
I walked down the quiet streets without any display on the screen to guide me.
Soon, I noticed a small local shrine along the path. I decided to stop and pray, using the location to save my game progress and look at options to change my costume.
Once I finished at the shrine, I continued moving forward into the empty town. I needed to reach the Chijurouya general store to find someone, but the main street was completely blocked by a stalled truck.
Reaching the truck, Hinako got scared seeing blood stains on the street and there was a dead bird or something below the truck.
Hinako remembered a small shortcut nearby, so I directed her toward a dark and narrow alleyway between the buildings.

Hearing those words made the atmosphere feel tense, even though no one stepped out onto the street. Knowing this was part of the Silent Hill universe made every step feel spooky and full of dread.
Suddenly, Hinako spotted one of her friends standing on her balcony in a school uniform. Hinako explained how the blocked road forced her to take the alleyway.
The girl turned out to be Sakuko, a friend who always seemed to have her head in the clouds and acted a bit strange. Hinako tried to have a normal conversation, but Sakuko suddenly blurted out the word traitor in a completely different, eerie voice that caught me off guard.
