[ENG/ESP] The start of a busy week in Margarita

Life on the island remains bustling with the holidays and the constant arrival of vacationers, who fill every corner with their energy and activity. However, that fast-paced rhythm doesn’t mean we can stop; on the contrary, we must continue with our work routines and make sure that every day feels wonderful, productive, and in harmony with our surroundings. Before I tell you how our first day of the week went, I want to wish you a fabulous day, full of serenity and good times. At home, as we do every morning, we got up early so we could carry out our chlorination and disinfection routine at the Parque Costa Azul shopping center. The idea was to arrive before the streets became chaotic with vacationers heading home, because these days traffic can get heavy in a matter of minutes. The weather was a bit cloudy; there were several clouds in the sky hinting at a rainy afternoon, so on the way I took the opportunity to snap a few photos so I can show you later those little moments that make every trip special.
La vida en la Isla continúa ajetreada por las vacaciones y la llegada constante de temporadistas, que llenan cada rincón con su energía y movimiento. Sin embargo, ese ritmo acelerado no significa que podamos detenernos; al contrario, debemos continuar con nuestras rutinas de trabajo y procurar que cada día se sienta excelente, productivo y en armonía con lo que nos rodea. Antes de contarles cómo nos fue en este primer día de la semana, quiero desearles un día fabuloso, lleno de serenidad y buenos momentos. En casa, como cada mañana, nos levantamos temprano para poder realizar nuestra rutina de clorado y desinfección en el centro comercial Parque Costa Azul. La idea era llegar antes de que las avenidas se volvieran un caos con la salida de los temporadistas, porque en estos días el tráfico puede complicarse en cuestión de minutos. El clima estaba un poco nublado; había varias nubes en el cielo que avizoraban una tarde lluviosa, así que en el camino aproveché para tomar algunas fotografías y poder mostrarles más adelante esos pequeños instantes que hacen especial cada recorrido.
We arrived at the mall just as they were opening their doors to employees and vendors. That time of day always has a special kind of calm: the sound of the metal doors, the first footsteps of those starting their day, and the fresh atmosphere that hasn’t yet been touched by the hustle and bustle of rush hour.
Llegamos al centro comercial justo cuando estaban abriendo sus puertas para trabajadores y proveedores. Ese momento del día siempre tiene una calma particular; el sonido de las puertas metálicas, los primeros pasos de quienes comienzan su jornada y el ambiente fresco que todavía no ha sido tocado por el bullicio de las horas pico.
After finishing our work and making sure everything was in order, we decided to take a walk through one of the areas of the mall—specifically the food court—because that’s where they had set up the decorations honoring the Virgin of the Valley.
Después de realizar nuestro trabajo y comprobar que todo estaba en orden, decidimos caminar un rato por una de las áreas del centro comercial, específicamente por la zona de comida, porque allí habían colocado la decoración alegórica a la Virgen del Valle.
The decoration was truly beautiful. It was a work of art created by several visual artists who spent more than a month crafting a sailboat filled with details, colors, and traditional elements of the island. Alongside the image of the Virgin, one could appreciate part of the essence of Margarita fused into the painting: the sea, the flowers, the fishermen, the landscapes, and that deep devotion that characterizes those who live here. It was a space that invited visitors to pause, observe, and let themselves be enveloped by the beauty and meaning of every stroke. The decoration spoke for itself, conveying respect, tradition, and affection.
La decoración era realmente hermosa. Se trataba de un trabajo artístico elaborado por varios artistas plásticos que dedicaron más de un mes a crear un velero lleno de detalles, colores y elementos tradicionales de la Isla. Junto a la imagen de la Virgen, se podía apreciar parte de la esencia margariteña fusionada en la pintura; el mar, las flores, los pescadores, los paisajes y esa devoción profunda que caracteriza a quienes viven aquí. Era un espacio que invitaba a detenerse, observar y dejarse envolver por la belleza y el significado de cada trazo. La decoración hablaba por sí misma, transmitiendo respeto, tradición y cariño.
After enjoying that very special spot, we headed home because traffic was already starting to get heavy. These days, the best strategy is to leave early and return before the rush, to avoid getting stuck in the long lines that form when vacationers return from the beach or head back to their accommodations. That’s how our Monday went—between work, cloudy skies, art, and the satisfaction of fulfilling our responsibilities without a hitch. I wish you a wonderful Tuesday, full of positive energy. Después de disfrutar de ese rincón tan especial, nos retiramos a casa porque el tráfico ya comenzaba a ponerse pesado. En estos días, la mejor estrategia es salir temprano y regresar antes del bullicio, para evitar quedar atrapados en las largas colas que se forman cuando los temporadistas regresan de la playa o se movilizan hacia sus alojamientos. Así transcurrió nuestro lunes; entre trabajo, paisajes nublados, arte y la satisfacción de cumplir con nuestras responsabilidades sin contratiempos.
