[ENG/ESP] The start of a busy week in Margarita

Another Wednesday with you all—wishing you a wonderful day and ready to take part once again in this beautiful initiative that captivates me every week. Every Wednesday I eagerly look forward to this moment, thanks to @tattoodjay idea, which inspires me so much to keep sharing my adventures and enjoying yours. It’s incredible how such a simple activity can become a space for connection, creativity, and companionship, and that’s why I love being a part of it. Today we set out early, as I’ve been telling you in my posts this week. We’ve adopted this routine of getting up a little earlier than usual to avoid running into the large crowds of tourists visiting the island. Their presence, while wonderful for the economy and the cheerful atmosphere, also makes traffic congested and slow, especially during rush hour. So we prefer to get a head start and take our time, enjoying the journey without any hiccups. The weather was unpredictable, as it often is on Margarita Island. At some points along the route, the sky was covered with gray clouds that seemed to herald rain, while at others, a deep, beautiful blue sky opened up, accompanied by a scorching sun that shone brightly. That unique mix allowed me to capture beautiful photos during my routine work trip. The island always has something to offer—a landscape, a color, a breeze, or a detail that makes every day different.
Otro miércoles con ustedes, deseándoles un día maravilloso y lista para participar nuevamente en esta hermosa iniciativa que me tiene cautivada cada semana. Cada miércoles espero con entusiasmo este momento, gracias a la propuesta de @tattoodjay, que tanto me inspira a seguir compartiendo mis recorridos y a disfrutar los de ustedes. Es increíble cómo una dinámica tan sencilla puede convertirse en un espacio de conexión, creatividad y compañía, y por eso me encanta formar parte de ella. Este día salimos temprano, como les he venido contando en mis publicaciones de esta semana. Hemos adoptado esta rutina de madrugar un poco más de lo habitual para evitar coincidir con la gran cantidad de turistas que están visitando la Isla. Su presencia, aunque es maravillosa para la economía y el ambiente alegre que se respira, también hace que el tráfico se vuelva angosto y lento, especialmente en las horas pico. Así que preferimos adelantarnos y movernos con calma, disfrutando el trayecto sin contratiempos. El clima estaba caprichoso, como suele ser en Isla Margarita. En algunos puntos del recorrido el cielo se mostraba cubierto de nubes grises que parecían anunciar lluvia, mientras que en otros se abría un azul intenso y hermoso, acompañado de un sol sofocante que irradiaba con fuerza. Esa mezcla tan particular, me permitió capturar fotos preciosas durante mi recorrido rutinario de trabajo. La Isla siempre tiene algo que ofrecer; un paisaje, un color, una brisa, un detalle que hace que cada día sea distinto.
We arrived at the Sunsol Unik Hotel, where we successfully carried out our disinfection and sanitization routine. Everything went very smoothly because the team is working like a perfectly synchronized machine. The hotel, like us, wants to complete these services early so we can devote the rest of the day to the guests, who always need attention and support. It’s also ideal for us, because we can leave without any major setbacks and continue with our other activities.
Llegamos al hotel Sunsol Unik, donde realizamos nuestra rutina de coloración y desinfección exitosamente. Todo fluyó muy bien porque el equipo está trabajando como un engranaje perfectamente sincronizado. Al hotel le interesa, al igual que a nosotros, realizar estos servicios temprano para poder dedicar el resto del día a los turistas, quienes siempre requieren atención y apoyo. Para nosotros también es ideal, porque podemos marcharnos sin mayores contratiempos y continuar con nuestras demás actividades.
With the day’s plans already set, all that was left was to stop by the Sigo market to buy some pizza crusts. Our son and his friend want to surprise us with homemade pizzas, and we’ve loved the idea ever since they told us about it. I was really happy to get the crusts, because they usually sell out fast; since they’re easy to use and pre-made, seasonal workers snap them up as soon as they see them. This time we got lucky.
Con el trabajo programado para este día, solo nos quedaba hacer una parada en el mercado Sigo para comprar unas bases de pizza. Nuestro hijo y su amiga quieren sorprendernos con una preparación casera de pizzas, y la idea nos encantó desde que nos la comentaron. Me dio mucha alegría conseguir las bases, porque suelen agotarse rápido; al ser fáciles de usar y ya preelaboradas, los temporadistas las buscan y las escanean apenas las ven. Esta vez tuvimos suerte.
After that, we took another short drive to find another ingredient someone had asked us for, and finally headed back home before the traffic got even worse. It was a peaceful end to a day that combined work, beautiful scenery, and a family routine that, though simple, has a special charm.
Después dimos otro pequeño recorrido para buscar otro ingrediente que nos habían pedido, y finalmente emprendimos el camino de regreso a casa antes de que el tráfico se complicara aún más. Fue un cierre tranquilo para un día que combinó trabajo, paisajes hermosos y una rutina familiar que, aunque sencilla, tiene un encanto especial.
This is what a typical Wednesday is like on Margarita Island, where every day is a mix of work, colors, breezes, and moments that bring the family together.
