Thousands of women on Instagram are reporting the same thing — missed periods, double periods, early periods, and cycles lasting weeks in June 2026.
This thread from @activationvibration went viral with 85K+ likes and 14.9K replies. I went through hundreds of comments and categorized the data.
📊 THE NUMBERS: • Missed/skipped/late: 51 replies • Two periods in one month: 39 replies • Extended bleeding (2+ weeks): 22 replies • Early period: 14 replies • Unusually heavy/painful: 9 replies • Post-menopause return: 4 replies • On birth control but bled anyway: 4 replies
Total irregular: 155 Normal: 13 Ratio: 12:1
🌞 Theories mentioned: • Solar flares / geomagnetic storm (June 8-9, 2026 — X-class flares, G3 storm) • CERN shutdown (June 29 — scheduled Long Shutdown 3) • 5G / vaccine conspiracies • Stress / perimenopause • "Documentary" reference (never named — likely engagement bait)
🤔 My take: The solar storm is the only theory with actual science behind it. Geomagnetic activity is known to raise cortisol and disrupt melatonin, which directly affects menstrual cycles. But the 12:1 ratio is inflated by selection bias — women with normal cycles don't reply.
