The Pressure To Know Begins Loosening

I’ll give it time to discover what truly endures after the initial excitement has subsided and I’m no longer convinced that every idea warrants my immediate attention, I’ll give it time because rushing to decide can make me confuse today’s unforseen intensity with tomorrow’s meaning, I’ll give it time allowing an idea to remain quietly unfinished while I return to it with enough distance to see what I could not see before, I’ll give it time can I leave something alone without secretly fearing that it will disappear if I stop forcing it forward to the main goal, I’ll give it time, and what is quiet begins to reveal its staying power, slowly showing me that some of the most enduring things in life arrive without urgency and remain without asking to be noticed…

I return later, to the things I once dismissed too quickly and find that distance has changed the way they sit inside me and realized a lot of things unclear before, I return later, because some possibilities become clearer only after I have lived enough life to understand what they were asking from me despite of what I can give, I return later, resisting the embarrassment of admitting that something I ignored before may now deserve another look in order to give it a conclusion, I return later, what if I have been calling an idea weak simply because I encountered it at the wrong moment, wrong mindset or wrong purpose…. I return later, and the forgotten beginning feels strangely alive again, as though time did not erase what I abandoned, but quietly preserved it for the version of me who could finally understand its meaning…

I protect possibility, from the part of me that wants every beginning to become useful, profitable, impressive, or immediately recognizable before I will allow myself to keep it, I protect possibility, because not every beginning needs a business plan, a finished shape, or a clear destination before it has earned the right to exist, I protect possibility, even when uncertainty makes me restless and I want to force the unknown into a familiar category just to feel safer and ready, I protect possibility, can I let something matter to me before I know what it will become regardless of the initial expectation from me, I protect possibility, and the pressure to know begins loosening, until I understand that I do not need to know what something will become to give it enough space to become…

I trust the unfolding, not blindly and not passively, but with enough humility to admit that I cannot always see the final form from the first small beginning, I trust the unfolding, knowing that some ideas will fade despite my attention while others will quietly become more demanding the longer I stay near them, I trust the unfolding, because the work may carry information I cannot manufacture by thinking harder about what it should become, I trust the unfolding, can I stay close enough to notice what is growing without trying to control its shape, protecting your initial concept of it, I trust the unfolding, and the work begins becoming larger than my original idea, until I understand that the most meaningful things I make are not the ones that obey my vision, but the ones that teach my vision how to grow…

Watchwords: What survives after the excitement Distance has changed the way I protect possibility in confidence The pressure to know loosens The work becomes larger as I release

Here is Tikatarot, who dares you to answer the question, “Who am I?”..

As and will always be reminding you to dream: “As you are still the Master of your destiny and the maker of your dreams…”
