Can Love Survive Financial Recklessness?

Is it good for someone to tolerate someone who keeps causing them financial embarrassment, no matter their relationship with that person?

This is about a friend of mine who is married to a lady who always causes him embarrassment, despite the fact that he does almost everything at home, including buying foodstuff, pepper, and other groceries. It is just sad. He called me and was really angry on the phone, and, in all honesty, I felt his pain.

It is not a good thing for someone not to be good with money. It is so bad that she could not even come up with the money to go to the job she is doing.

I do believe that what could make someone get into so much debt or have the urge to take on so much debt is probably that the person is in a crisis or a difficult situation that requires urgent financial assistance. But, be that as it may, it does not make sense for someone to embark on such a ridiculous amount of borrowing or take out loans without telling their partner and expect the person not to find out. It is only a matter of time before the person will know.

But what could make someone become so impulsive to the extent that they put themselves in such difficult situations?

There are some partners that someone should not pray to be with. Although we all make mistakes, and this can happen to anybody, when those mistakes begin to cause another person pain, then it becomes difficult to justify or tolerate them.

Anyway, I had to tell my friend that what she did does not necessarily warrant him leaving his wife. He told me that she borrowed money from almost five loan apps, and only God knows what she used the money for. She could not even give him an explanation. It is so bad.

However, does this warrant him leaving his wife? The answer is not so simple.

He even said that he took out a loan and told her about it so they could get a roof over their heads. He is still paying back that loan while, at the same time, fending for the family at home.

He buys foodstuff every week, week in and week out.

In this situation, what can I advise the person to do? They also have a daughter who is about two years old.

It is just sad that some partners can help but instead cause more pain to their spouses. It is ridiculous and completely uncalled for.

Anyway, life is just full of ups and downs, and sometimes it is sad to realise that you are mostly on your own and that there is only so much you can do about certain situations.
