Not Everyone Who Refuses You Is Wicked

The assertion that no one really cares apart from the Maker is reflected in an African saying that when trouble comes, don’t be surprised if even your best friends desert you. If you look at it carefully, is it really their fault? The answer is probably not. Someone who is going through a difficult time may believe that people simply do not want to help, but those they are seeking help from may not even have enough resources themselves.
In life, you will realise that not everything we see is actually true. Some people are driving cars they bought on loan, while others are wearing new clothes that were borrowed or purchased on credit. So, most of the time, it is not that people are wicked. Rather, no one wants to rescue you when their own life is not yet settled. Of what use is saving someone when you are also standing on a collapsing bridge? Isn’t that a difficult situation? What do you think?
Also, the assertion that no one cares can be true to some extent. That is why some people say, “Don’t let money finish from your hand, because that is when you will know the true colours of the people around you.” When you are financially successful, you will have many friends and many people running around you. That is simply the reality of life.
You can never tell how people will treat you. Even those you have once helped may turn against you. It is just life. The number of people who genuinely want you to become great is not much. Even those who want you to succeed may not necessarily want you to become more successful than they are. That is just the way life is.
It is a crazy world, isn’t it? I’m telling you, no matter what, our prayer should always be not to face a crisis that is beyond our ability to handle. That is simply a statement of fact.
Also, what do you think is the best time to seek help? Ironically, it is often when you already have enough. Why do I say that? Because that is when you are more likely to receive help. People know that you have the means to repay them or recover from the situation. However, when they realise that you are already in serious trouble, it often takes people who truly believe in you to stand by you. They believe that your difficult moment is only temporary and that it will not last forever. It is crazy, isn’t it? You never really know what is going through people’s minds.
Should we then say that just because you sought help and did not receive it, you should stop talking to those people? I don’t think so. However, they say that a crisis helps you understand people better because it reveals who they truly are. That is also true.
No matter what happens, always protect your peace and your finances. I repeat, don’t be carried away too much by people’s emotions or situations. Always know your worth. Don’t do what you cannot afford. Be at peace with people whether they help you or not. The bottom line is that you should always think carefully, act wisely, and never allow your resources to be completely drained. It is important to remember this.
