The Quality of Life in Our Society

A lot of things are wrong in our society today. People hardly talk about the quality of life, how society can become a better place for all of us, and how our communities can become good places to live.
We, as human beings, are lacking in many areas. We claim that we are the wisest of all creation, yet our communities are in shambles. We keep taking our lives under the guise of making money and having a quality of life personally, rather than seeing it as a collective responsibility in society. You will see that only a handful of people have access to quality healthcare because they can afford to pay for it, while they leave the majority hoping that God will do it.
You will see that if anything happens to our politicians, it will not be long before they fly abroad for medical treatment and still use public funds to pay for it. But for the masses who brought them into power, you will see that they do not care whether they live or die. This is just the reality of life, and only a few individuals have access to good living conditions.
Talking about businesses too, you will hear that the sole purpose of a business is to make money. They do not even care whether their products serve people well. It is just like when a company sells or manufactures adulterated drugs. They know that these drugs will certainly cause harm to people, yet they still go ahead with it. It is so bad that many of them do not even care if a lot of people develop internal illnesses, as long as those people keep coming back to them for more business. They do not care.
What about medical professionals who are supposed to look for ways to cure people and their illnesses? What do some of them do instead? They produce remedies that provide relief for a short moment, while people still need to keep patronising them for the same services.
We are fucked as human beings. We tend not to care about improving life for a lot of people. You will hear people saying, “As long as we keep making profit, no one cares.”
What can we do as human beings to make the world a better place for everyone?
No matter how much wealth we accumulate, it cannot take us anywhere in the end because we are all bound to leave everything behind. Why not do the right things and focus on making humanity the best place to live in?
