Niche of the Niche An 8 Bit Nintendo CD Attachment

Look, I know, you know, there is not going to be all that much released for something like this but that does not stop it from being extremely cool. I am talking about a CD-ROM attachment for the Nintendo. The original Nintendo. The cool thing is, you can grab the files to create your own right now.
Fans Doing What Nintendon’t [Sega Isn’t Using it Anymore]
Obviously there is not going to be that much software, if any beyond any demos the originator makes, released for this but it is still interesting. In the video below, YouTube content creator Throaty Mumbo goes over their process, their why, and how they did it. Probably most important to most of us is, they show off the benefits of Super Mario Bros if it was released on CD.
Yep. Better music and some basic Full-Motion Video (FMV) of course. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6D8RWVwW4ZI Not For the Faint Hearted
The process to create a CD-ROM attachment for the original Nintendo Entertainment System is not going to be something everyone can do. It is a bit of a catch 22 as far as this ever being offered as a ready built unit and games coming out using it.
Neither wants to be first.
That is why I call this the niche of the niche. It is cool as all get out. No doubt about it. It also shows that the original NES still has plenty to offer if fans with the knowledge work on the hardware needed.
What game would you like to see get the Nintendo CD-ROM treatment? Personally, I would love to see Robowarrior redone with better music and FMV/animated cut scenes. It has a great story that was abandoned once you put the manual down only to pick back up, somewhat, when you beat it.
